If we could get into it and get Seth Curry though...
I view Irving like I do RWB...clearing a boat load. salary after a year. Still rather gouge my eyes out, but I would at least look at it like that.

Still don't understand why Nets are even entertaining this. I'd love if they just said... no we will pass on that thanks. If you want to go to the Lakers you can suck it up and play this year, if not you can just get fined for not playing... and walk ur happy ass there next year and let Lakers deal with whatever salary hoops they may or may not need to jump through to make it work or even if they want to at that point.
Those 3 jokers took a massive steaming dump on the nets organization(Kyrie, KD, and Harden). I'll make a trade if it gives me real tangible assets, like KD absolutely will. If my reward for dealing with Kyrie's bs is a year of 50m westbrick with Simmons- that's a hard pass.
|
Nets can't do this. They have to recoup something from their big 3 debacle. The picks they receive from the Lakers could be extremely valuable if Lebron walks to the Cavs after next season.

The Wolves also made several calls to Brooklyn on Kevin Durant, sources said, but the Nets were asking for established All-Stars and a mountain of picks. Minnesota was unwilling to part with either Edwards or Towns in a KD-centered deal, so there was no traction.
Can't picture KD in Minnesota.

Maybe they really are looking for another wing.
I had read we might get a trade exception for JB to the Knicks. Has anyone seen confirmation if that happened? If so, any wings that might be attainable that fit it?

We still need a pg though regardless of a wing. Hardy isn't a pg.
Luka is literally our only pg right now.

I'd say Schroder is the better get, but that just means he'll sign with another team by tomorrow.

Anyone hear about Maxi? He's guaranteed 9 mil if not waived today. I assume we keep him.

I like Roby a lot. Would definitely take a flyer on him. (another wasted Donnie move waiving him for nothing)

Chris Fedor on Collin Sexton: The Dallas Mavericks have been rumored as a team that may have interest because they lost Jalen Brunson. They don?t have cap space. So it would have to be a sign-and-trade worked out with the Cavs. And I?m told that the Cavs are not very attracted to any of the pieces that Dallas would be willing to send back to them in a potential sign-and-trade. ? via Spotify

What does may have interest mean? Never heard of Chris Fedor either.
And of course they aren't attracted to the pieces we have. Mavs have no clue how to acquire assets teams actually want. Diamond Powell!

That may be true of Donnie, but we are just 1 year and 1 month into the Nico era, so I don't think its fair to blame him for past failures. So far, he's added Dinwiddie, Bullock, Wood, Josh Hardy, Frank Nilikina, and Bertans, and the only one on a bad contract is Bertans, which is the price of getting out from under KP's max deal. I think all of those guys have more value in an NBA trade than, say, Josh Powell. He also resigned DFS on a great deal and THJ on a not so great one. But overall, he's had a decent year, considering he started with zero assets.
Sure its frustrating to lose JB. But when the season started and the $55 million dollar deal was on the table, we'd just come through a playoff series he watched from the bench. It was only when Luka got sick that he got a chance and played his way into the starting line up. By the trade deadline, I don't think he would have stayed for $55 mil...not with his dad coaching for the Knicks and promising him a lot more.
Nico is building value piece by piece. I suggest we give him more than 13 months before we label him a failure, mainly because Donnie sucked, and Rick could not imagine a defense that would let Brunson stay on the floor. That's 2 major problems Nico and Kidd solved. Not their fault the Mavs have wasted all their draft picks, trading for KP, and Rondo. I think they are doing pretty good playing with the cards they inherited.

Twitter losing their minds over Dragic. Not really the hill to die on IMO. Sure, it made sense and Luka loves him, but clearly the Mavs just didn't want him. They've had many chances to get him. It is what it is.
Now, if it came out that we wanted him but he chose the Bulls, then that's a different story.

Anyone see this talk of Reggie Bullock becoming a sixer? Apparently it's on his IG story. I don't have an IG but it seems like something weird is happening.

Ralph Mason: Jake Fischer: The most likely spot for Kevin Durant right now is to Phoenix in a potential multiple-team deal with Deandre Ayton going to a non-Brooklyn team.

That makes no sense unless we're trading him there, he's under contract.

Saw this as well. There are essentially two pictures in his Instagram story that seem to indicate that he?s told a couple people that he?s going to Philly.
It would have to be a trade obviously.
Are they trying to shed payroll for Harden?
It?s interesting to say the least considering it is on Bullocks page.

We're looking for a wing so we're going to trade one of the few we have? lol.
Unless we're getting Tobias Harris or Maxey in return. I'd go for that but I doubt it.
Disclaimer: I'm not mocking anybody or doubting it's truthfulness because if it's on his IG then I guess it's going to happen? Just makes no sense to me.
Is it Reggie for Thybulle?

I didn't believe it either until people started posting pictures. Again, I don't have IG and that's the only outlet so far in terms of it. I am not sure how to post pictures here, I wish I could copy and paste it.
I really like Reggie and think he is a beast. I really thought his better years were ahead of him too.
I really don't want Tobias here especially with the signing of McGee. It appears McGee will be starting and I don't see Wood or DFS coming off the bench. There is no place for Tobias.
Was hoping we got lucky and somehow got Collin Sexton and called it an offseason. I really hope we don't trade Reggie.
