Im glad we are being tested and have found several different ways to come out on top.

I hear what you're saying, but I'm not going to try to dissuade anyone from being excited. We Mavs fans have suffered a lot over the years. We deserve to get hyped to the fucking moon about this.

No, the series is not over. Yes, we could still lose. But we just took a 2-0 lead on the road against a pretty heavily favored team. Teams that win the first two games win the series 92.5% of the time. So the Mavs are probably going to the finals! Think about that for a second!

It's up the players and the coaches to keep their noses to the grindstone and keep telling themselves "the job isn't done." We fans are under no such obligation. I'm done throwing cold water on my own excitement.

I'm just gonna say it right now, because fuck it.

That's totally fair, and honestly I think that's most definitely the attitude you want from a player, and probably from a coach to. You want your players and coaches to viscerally hate losing and want to win every single game at all cost. The GM is the one that needs to look at the bigger picture.

In addition to that, I think in basketball, when the talent of the two teams is equal or at least close to equal, the team with the best player almost always wins.

And you know what? The Mavs have the best player left in the playoffs BY FAR.
