We have a couple threads on trivia going but dj knows absolutely NO baseball so I don't think it's fair to have the trivia directed at him , but if it is for me personally post it on calling out Flying Tiger. I'll get it started, Murph will probably know this one...who is the only major league pitcher to strike out 4 batters in one inning more than once?

Don't know the answer but a small tidbit, I struck out 4 batters in one inning in a little league game once.

reeds, do you really think Tawny Kitaen is hot ? I never thought he was hot ...
yeah, she was once married David Coverdale who was once the lead vocalist of Deep Purple.
Deep Purple is my most favorite band ...
Hey, djbacklash, what kinda music are you in ?
Do you know "Fatboy Slim" ? How about "Chemical Brothers" ? I like their music ...
Fatboy Slim is also a DJ, I think he's great ...

Yea I listen to Chemical Bros. and Fatboy Slim The Chemical Bros. used to be my fave group next to The Prodigy and Crystal Method (speaking of which, I need to get their new cd!). I listen mainly to rap and hiphop these days, but I still love dance/techno/trance beats.

Crystal Method ? I don't know their name ... I like Prodigy, too.
How about old ones such as Kraftwerk("Tour De France" ), Yazoo, OMD(my fav),
New Order, Depeche Mode ?
I love techno/dance music, especially eurodance, I don't care wherever they're coming from,
Germany, France, Italy, Holland. I just love Eurodance ...
It's exciting and fun, but Mono (French Duo) is unique, their music is kinda sad and misty ...
I saw several music vids of Daft Punk on MCM (French music channel), their music is good.
I don't mind Disco, either. yeah Disco baby !!! Hit me with Disco !!!
I do listen to Rap, but I don't think HipHop is my kinda music, I don't mind if it's good tho.
And I love lots of oldies like Gene Pitney("Tower Tall" , Vogues(every song of them), Walker Bro.,
Ketty Lester("Love Letters" , Vera Lynn("We'll Meet Again" ... there's too many ...
I think I'm in '80s' music also ... 70s' is good, 60s' ... , yeah I love music.
However, my main stuff is Rock, all kinds of Rock, especially Heavy Metal,
it doesn't matter if it's pop metal or baroque metal or death metal.
I dont wanna live without Heavy METAL .....

you can only strike 3 batters out in one inning, am I wrong ? it's rather confusing ...

OK...I'll try to explain this. If the pitcher srtikes someone out, but the catcher drops the ball, the batter can run to first and if he isn't tagged out or thrown out at first then he is safe and the out doesn't count, but the pitcher still gets credited with the strikeout. Understand?

Crystal Method and The Prodigy are my two all-time fave groups I also like Oakenfold, Van Dyk, BT, etc. I mainly listen to hiphop now though, so I only know the more popular dance songs/remixes being played in clubs now. What else do you listen to? I've been downloading a few of the songs my friends have been recommending (like I said, I've been out of the electronic scene for a couple years now ) like Kim Sozzi, Fragma, Robbie Tronco, Darude (yea I know it's old..but the radio stations in Dallas have totally been hyping "Sandstorm), ATB, etc.
Oh and yea I HAVE to get the new Crystal Method cd! I hope they come to Dallas again soon.

Well I like all kinds of music really, U2 is my all-time favorite, but as it relates to what I've been listening to lately: Prodigy, The Crystal Method, Fatboy Slim, Propeller Heads, Timo Maas, DJ Tiesto, and Paul Oakenfold. I've known about Oakenfold since he was with U2 during thier Zoo TV tour.

I've just recently started listening to stuff by Timo Maas and Tiesto..was into the Propellarheads a couple years ago but haven't really kept track of them. What was their last release? I think I have their first cd..the one released back in '98. Oh and Oakenfold is just plain awesome

Decksanddrumsandrockandroll was thier last release back in 98 as far as I know (the one with Spybreak! used in the matrix). Just like Vegas released in 97, some music never gets old.

Yea check the bbs on the official site. They released an official statement the other day. A friend of mine knows the guy throwing the Dallas show so I found out it was cancelled about a week ago, but I didn't really believe it until I read the official word. It's pathetic how they were billing it as the kickass event of the summer, yet they were totally unprepared and didn't have their shit together.

DJ, What kinda software do you use to edit or mix your music files ?
I use CoolEdit2000, but it's slow ...
I have a copy of MixmanStudio4, but it's useful for a DJ, not for me ...

I've laid off the music scene a bit but my current software setup primarily consists of Sonic Foundry Acid Pro 3.0 and Sound Forge 5.0. Programs like MixMan are ok for just playing around but aren't really geared towards production-level tracking and composition. My hardware, aside from my computers, includes a set of Pioneer CDJ-100S digital cd turntables hooked up to a Pioneer DJM-300S mixer, and a Roland MC303 GrooveBox for additional beats and efx. Like I said, I've hardly done any music work the last year or two but I intend to start up again one of these days just for fun.
I originally started playing around with stuff about five years ago (shortly after I quit playing the piano..something I had done for nearly 11 years but got tired of after competing a number of times), and used FastTracker II along with Cool Edit and Goldwave. This was back before mp3s gained in popularity and a lot of aspiring electronic musicians pumped out tunes in .mod format.

I haven't used the newest version of Cool Edit and I only use Sound Forge sparingly these days so I really can't say. Cool Edit Pro's a good prog though, so I'd say just stick with it. If not, give Sound Forge or Sound Forge XP (the stripped down version) a try.

well, I have CoolEditPro 1.2 with mp3 add-on ...
but it takes so much time(you know loading & encoding stuff) when I try to save a file
I'd better try SoundForge or SF XP, or just stick with CoolEdit, thanks anyway ...
