Nice addition for the Lakers. Russell struggled in Washington, but LA could be the perfect situation for him to get back on track.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) -- Bryon Russell signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, joining former Utah Jazz teammate Karl Malone.
Russell averaged 4.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in 70 games with the Washington Wizards last season. He played his first nine NBA seasons with the Jazz, who made him a second-round pick out of Long Beach State in the 1993 draft.
Russell, a 6-foot-7 forward-guard, has career averages of 8.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
