Boston won some easy 9-6 in the Bronx and forced a 7th game.
Florida is up 3-0, first inning of the decisive game.

This sucks. I am glad for Pudge and UUU, but I was certainly hoping for the Cubs and Red Sox to play in the World SEries.
I would hate to be that poor Cub fan who got in Alou's way. He is about to have to go underground. Not fair at all. |

I just know it, every stinking year the teams I root for get knocked out in the Championship series.... Cubs are going to lose and the Sox are going to lose tomorrow.
And I hate to prematurely doom the Marlins, but go Marlins. I just can't bring myself to root for the Yankees (in order to doom them, you know reverse rootology??).

If I were a betting man and had a few thousand dollars to spend, i'd put it on pedro and the Sox.
When was the last time a pitcher has been as dominant as he has been over the past 6-7 years?... well, maybe greg maddux in the early 90's..but, maddux definitely didn't have the intimidation thing going plus, you could make a case for Randy Johnson However, those are probably just about the only two you could make a case for in the past 25 years |
