Trading Mike make no sense now because unless we can get such talent in the prime time as Zo in return to dominate paint.
The problem of Mavs right now is that Nash need to distribute ball more efficient to let everybody especially Mike and Dirk find their rythme earlier in the game. Once Mike and Dirk get hot, it will also open doors for Nash cause opponents need to focus more on them. I don't have problem of Nash shot 18 or 20, but once opponents were focus more on Mike and Dirk, his shot may become more efficient.
Mavs also need to improve their half court offence. The problem of Mavs-Lakers games was that Lakers was excellent in transion defense after 1st quarter and thus stop many Mavs fastbreak opportunities. Dirk need to more aggressive in half court and pass more once he is double. Mike should more aggressive in attacking the rims while not forcing shot. We need more efficient in ball movement to get more open look.
Wang is developping faster than expected. But he stood in the primeter too long. He has skills, height and weight to be a decent center though his progress is hampered by his poor English. He should develop some post up against smaller center and 14 feet jumper (he is an excellent shooter)to against giant like Shaq. As Nellie said, it is tough to win it all this year, why not we give him more playing time to develop. He should have more upside than Eddy and Shawn.
The time of Mavs does not come yet cause it is really impossible to beat lakers in 7 games serie this year. The future of west belongs to Mavs and Kings once lakers began to decline. The continue development of Dirk and Wang and the decline of Divac will give Mavs small edge over Kings in the future (I am a big fan of skillful 7 footer).
Keep big three and Wang, the future is all DALLAS.
