Default NBA Contracts Question - Restructuring?

Can NBA contracts be restructured to skirt the 15% trade rule?

Here's a hypothetical:

Say the Tigers own rights to Player A who makes $10M this season and has a player option for $13M next year... i.e. $23M remaining on the contract (with 2004 cap number equal to $10M)

Can the Tigers restructure & extend Player A's contract... e.g. $5M; $8M; $11M; $14M; $17M; $21M; $24M... effectively offering a 5 year extension, increasing the total value of the contract to $100M... while LOWERING Player A's cap figure in 2004 from $10M to $5M...

AND Subsequently trade Player A to the Lions for Player B... who makes $5M in 2004?

(Using the unstructured contract numbers the 15% trade rule will not allow the Tigers to trade a player making $10M this year for a player making $5M this year.)

As far as I know no NBA contract can be restructured to make a trade.

Can a contract be restructured to accomodate the salary of another player?

According to the rules of the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), a team over the Salary Cap may not renegotiate a contract.
