Default Getting back on track?

The Mavs have won 4 of their last 5 games. The only loss came by 8 points, on the road, against a team that has always given Dallas trouble, on the second night of a back-to-back matchup. The past 5 haven't been cupcakes either. @Sacramento, Memphis, Milwaukee, @Milwaukee, and Minnesota. They have averaged 107.2 ppg. They have allowed 101.2 ppg, but each of those 5 teams is in the top 9 of ppg in the league.

The Big 5 are healthy. Is it any coincidence that they are playing better?

Good things to come, or more dissapointment on the way?

One major reason the Mavs are winning again is Dirk is back. Also, Nash and Dirk are using more of that pick and roll.

That was a lot of my point. They have begun to get things together BECAUSE these guys are healthy. People said they were sick of hearing about how the team needed to "gel", but it really was true. They needed time anyway. But the revolving door between health and injury (a player goes out, comes back in as another is leaving with their own injury) has pushed the point of chemistry back farther and farther.

As a point guard, you really need to get to know the guys you're playing with. You need to know what they do when they are doubled, when they are being shoved out of their usual ways and so on. Steve needed these 25 games to get to know his new teammates and Dirk needed this 30 games to heal. So finally the pieces are starting to fall into the puzzle and everything seems to be so much easier.

Indeed. The Big Three is starting to take control of the team again with the plays they dominated pretty well; inclusive the fast breaks are getting back from their one and a half year semi-vacation.

A win tonight would be a real indicator that they truly are on the road to record recovery.

So much for getting back on track. Seems like the Track had an oil slick and we crashed and burned tonight.

Mavs only get on a win streak when they play at home. As soon as we go on the road, let the losing begin.
