I wonder why RealGm removed the players salaries from their site. Was there a threatened lawsuit or something. All I could find was this:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RealGM.com advises that as of the January 23, 2002, all individual player salaries will be removed from the Original Trade Checker 1999 version on RealGM.com and the salary page section of RealGM.com.
In order to implement these changes, RealGM.com has temporarily taken down the Original Trade Checker 1999 version.
We will soon replace the player salaries on the Original Trade Checker with numerical integers to give the user a sense of salary-matching, to help you successfully find trades. Players will still be sorted from highest paid to lowest paid, and details such as Base Year Compensation and Trade Kickers will still be provided. The Original Trade Checker will work exactly as it has in the past. The total team salary and the cap room information will remain exactly as is.
Thank you for making RealGM.com the best site for the most knowledgeable and intense NBA fans on the World Wide Web. We greatly appreciate the support of our fans and salute you all - the world's most hardcore NBA fans.
Sincerely,
Ryan Hoak
