3 Best "Current" Show
We once did a thread on the 3 best shows of all time, but what are the three best shows that are currently making new episodes?
mine are:
1. Chappelle Show
2. Boston Public
3. CSI/OC
No reality shows, professional wrestling, nor Mavericks games count as a TV show.

RE: 3 Best "Current" Show
The Simpsons
Smallville
I don't watch any other shows on a remotely regular basis.
I've been completely shocked with just how good Smallville is. It appears that many of the critics feel kinda similar. I think many expected it to be something similar to Dawson's Creek. But, amazingly enough, it usually has good writing, a solid cast, and a good message.

RE: 3 Best "Current" Show
The Simpsons
The Drew Carey Show
The Outer Limits
For me they all have new episodes.
I also like Oz when they show it, and somewhat CSI and The X Files.

RE:3 Best "Current" Show
I'll probably get burned for this...
1) Vegas - best show on TV
2) One tree Hill - my wife watches it, so I'm forced 2
3) OC - I can't get by my 90210 phase
4) Real World - never missed an episode
5) Late Night Poker - LOVE "Texas hold 'em poker"
6) Monster House - something about this show
7) Scrubs - leaves me rolling!!
8) Monster Choppers - again really like the show..anything mechanical.

RE: 3 Best "Current" Show
only shows i try not to miss:
1)Chappelle Show
2)The Wire (when there are actually new episodes)
and i try to catch CSI, but every since they had the baby being left in the car to die, I've kinda lost my taste for that show. No parent could wach that episode without wanting to puke. Literally.

Is the OC still going over there!?
I thought it was hilariously awesome, but it got canned after like 3 weeks.
Apparently I was the only one!

I'll watch anything MTV throws at me, but i said no reality shows. The San Diego looks like it's not going to be that good, but i'll end up watching every episode.

I keep forgetting when that show comes on, it seems cool.

Love the show. I'm a big James Caan fan. Plus it doesn't hurt when you have two drop dead gorgous
women on the show. You should check it out.

RE: 3 Best "Current" Show
I hear that new "Family Guy" episodes are on the way......so that tops the heap for me....
2. Simpsons (though the show has seen better days, it is still my all time favorite show
3. Scrubs......genius, genius, genius
not too hot for the Chappelle Show, just think dave is funny in small doses....not an entire show...

RE:3 Best "Current" Show
Some of these aren't currently new, but they will have new seasons coming.
Carnivale
Sopranos
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Chappelle Show (I'm Rich Biatch)
Da Ali G Show (This one flopped on HBO but this guy still cracks me up)
Tough Crowd -(Sometimes this show is horrible but it provides a nice antidote to The Daily Show)

RE:3 Best "Current" Show
Arrested Development (any show that can use Liza Minelli and still be intentionally funny has to get high marks; addtional plaudits for having Opie as narrator)
Blind Date (my secret career ambtion is to be a balloon caption writer for this show)
King of the Hill (previously a favorite, starting to fade) and The Simpsons (ranges from genius to medicore)
Up-and-comer?: Bernie Mac has cracked off a couple of good lines, and shows potential.
Honorably mentioned, dearly departed erstwhile Top 3-ers
Scrubs was great there for a couple of years, but has become too self-aware; mostly falls flat for me now--Elliot as a blond just doesn't cut it.
Malcolm in the Middle used to be similarly brilliant, but now the child actors are mainly are all grown up and just don't project the same kid-ness anymore (all-time favorite moment: Dewey dancing on the table with Bea Arthur to Dancing Queen)
Will and Grace--will probably spasm along for another 2, 3, 4 years as a cash cow for NBC, but all the funniest moments will be on DVD.

RE:3 Best "Current" Show
I'm definitely excited about new Carnivale. My roommates and I were hooked on that show.
Sike, where did you hear about new Family Guy episodes? That is (IMO) the funniest show ever.
