Iverson to dallas proposal(s)
Dallas trades: C Shawn Bradley (3.2 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.2 apg in 12.4 minutes)
PG Steve Nash (14.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 8.2 apg in 33.5 minutes)
SF Antawn Jamison (14.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 29.3 minutes)
Dallas receives: SF Todd MacCulloch (14.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 29.3 minutes)
C Samuel Dalembert (7.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 0.2 apg in 23.6 minutes)
SG Allen Iverson (27.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 6.3 apg in 42.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +1.9 ppg, -1.5 rpg, and -2.8 apg.
Philadelphia trades: SF Todd MacCulloch (14.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 29.3 minutes)
C Samuel Dalembert (7.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 0.2 apg in 23.6 minutes)
SG Allen Iverson (27.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 6.3 apg in 42.7 minutes)
Philadelphia receives: C Shawn Bradley (3.2 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.2 apg in 39 games)
PG Steve Nash (14.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 8.2 apg in 50 games)
SF Antawn Jamison (14.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 52 games)
Change in team outlook: -1.9 ppg, +1.5 rpg, and +2.8 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
Due to Dallas and Philadelphia being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Dallas and Philadelphia had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

if we get iverson, we're favorites and there's a good chance he can keep himself injury free when he has others to share the load
philly gets nash's expiring contract, a quality player in jamison who can dominate in the east and bradley who can also change the fate of eastern civilization, as walton would say
another possibility
Dallas trades: C Shawn Bradley (3.2 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.2 apg in 12.4 minutes)

PF Antoine Walker (15.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 5.2 apg in 37.6 minutes)
Dallas receives: PF Todd MacCulloch (15.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 5.2 apg in 37.6 minutes)
SG Allen Iverson (27.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 6.3 apg in 42.7 minutes)
PF Kenny Thomas (11.1 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.1 apg in 33.5 minutes)
C Samuel Dalembert (7.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 0.2 apg in 23.6 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +12.4 ppg, +5.3 rpg, and -6.0 apg.
Philadelphia trades: PF Todd MacCulloch (15.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 5.2 apg in 37.6 minutes)
SG Allen Iverson (27.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 6.3 apg in 42.7 minutes)
PF Kenny Thomas (11.1 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.1 apg in 33.5 minutes)
C Samuel Dalembert (7.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 0.2 apg in 23.6 minutes)

PG Steve Nash (14.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 8.2 apg in 50 games)
PF Antoine Walker (15.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 5.2 apg in 52 games)

philly gets walker's expiring contract in 2005 and nash's expiring contract this year..billy king is starving for cap room
we eat kenny thomas' and maculloch's contracts, but it's a fair price to pay for iverson

RE: Iverson to dallas proposal(s)
The mavs are a good team already. So the idea of any trade should be to add some quality pieces to the core of players (Big Three). To bring in a high caliber player like Iverson would turn everything upside down and it would take at least one season to make it work again. Cuban will give the existing team one more try in the playoffs. And if we can't get to the WCF again a radical change is going to happen then.

Iverson shoots too much to be on the Mavs. Dirk and Finley would never get the ball.

He shot 38% LAST YEAR when he was Fat and out-of-shape.

AI, Vinsanity, Big Dog, TMac, Kobe, all volume scorers. All Very good at it. Not what the Mavericks need. They would make very little difference in this team, as you are only going to get a certain # of shots a game. So No, and No. Dallas needs to defend better, not worry about scoring more.

RE:Iverson to dallas proposal(s)
This is one of the worst trade proposals I've ever seen and probably the most likely to get us back in the lottery. AI is not a PG, so it makes no sense giving our PG for him. AI is a horrible volume shooter which would change the entire Mavs offense for the worse. The Mavs get screwed on this trade but royally. Heck I wouldn't trade TAW for AI unless we were going to immediately turn around and trade AI. Iverson would be a cancer on this team.
