Default Salaries and production

A loss in their last gamee is about to be followed by a loss to Seattle..But here's the question...Is TD hurt worse than we think ? I don't believe that SA is telling the whole truth about his injury.. what do you think ?

I was convinced that Duncan was hurt REAALLY bad when the Mavs doctors were not allowed to look at him. He might not be back for quite awhile.

San Antonio won tonight 85 to 81 or something like that.

I read on a Spurs message board that Duncan was at the pregame shootaround today - which I guess could be interpreted a number of ways.

Let's see, there's so many to choose from, WALKER.

Finley: Doing what he's suppose to do, and has exceeded expectations. He's shooting a career high in threes', and is shooting better this season than any of the last 2 or 3. And in a business where 30(about to be 31) is considered aging or old, he's doing fine averaging 19ppg. A lot of people thought with the addition of Walker/Jamison, his importance on offense would become less and less important.

Nash: Although his scoring has went down by 3ppg, he's averaging a career high in assist. I'm surprised he's averaging 14ppg. Even when it was just the big 3, he was always a hesitant shooter. He's our best bargain.

Dirk: He went on an injury streak, but still manages to be 10th in the league in scoring, and leads our team in rebouding and Blocks.

Jamison: He's our second best bargain. For someone who's never known how to come off the bench, he still manages to average 15ppg, almost just as much as Walker, and is the frontrunner for 6th man award.

Walker: Worst bargain. He doesn't know his role, which is sad because it's 60 games in the season. Everybody else had to make adjustments, and all have adapted well to them. I believe the reason it took us so long too jel is because the rest of our team is waiting on Walker to jel. He knows he's a bad shooter, but does it anyway. He knows he can pass, but doesn't do it. He's in the category of dumb basketball players with Francis and Mobley.
Nash13, Why are you posting this HERE? Shouldn't this be in OP's thread in the General Forum?

And anyway, Walker is the worst bargain. I agree.

But it's not his fault he was unwisely given a MAX deal when he didn't deserve one....Remember that those guys in Boston are morons so.........

I am not able to understand this thread. Nash13's reply seems totally different from what OP has posted.

They're probably just testing him. Dirk still ran some drills in the playoffs after he got injured, but he still didn't play. Plus if he's on the injured list, he can't play against us.

A spurs win tonight....without TD...no help from the chronics.

But the question remains...is TD going to come back quickly or is he hurt more than we know ?

San Antonio isn't going down.

By the look on Tim's face when he sat on the bench I think this injury is pretty serious. A player knows when they are really hurt but he walked off the court when the game was over so that has to be a good sign.

Nash13, Duncan can play against us. Although he is on injured list spurs did not activate anyone to replace him and thus Duncan is eligible to come back before 5 games. ESPN and most of the other analysts got it wrong on this.

well if we are to go by pop's track record TD will not play until next week. everytine a player gets hurt pop keeps them oput until he is convinced they are 100%. Td wants to play but pop won't let him until he proves he can play at 100%. in the past this used to infuriate me. we would lose games we would have won had he or anyother starter played but i have learned to appreciate pop's 'big picture' mentality. although he wants to win every game he wants tim to be healthy come playoff time because if we don't have a healthy tim duncan no matter seeding we will be out in round 1. i hate to fall in the standings but i would rather have tim duncan at 100% at the 5th seed as opposed to a limping tim duncan and the 3rd seed. pop stated int oday's paper td will probably not play friday or saturday.
