These types of threads need to be kept in the Trade and Draft Board forum.

RE: Walker trade? Yes
Brasil- NVE cannot be traded to the Mavericks this year. It violates the CBA.
Please people....enough with the NVE trades to Dallas. IT ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN!

Walker won't be back here next season - just a hunch.

RE:Walker trade? Yes
If I understand correctly, next year Walker is due $15 million. AND it is the LAST year of his contract. If I'm correct, he will be one of the (if not THE) most coveted players in the league at next year's trade deadline. Teams will salivate to clear $15 million of cap space...
I know that doesn't help us much this year...I guess it is something to look forward to.

I do believe Walker will be gone next season. Possibly a deal for Dampier or Curry. This team will change no doubt. Maybe even the coach will be different, I hope so

Golden State will NOT trade back for Jamison or Walker. I just don't see why they would.

I take that back. Performance-wise over the last few games, Walker has proven to me and probably all of you that he believes himself to be the team leader, even when he is cold and hurting the team extremely. Bradley, on the other hand, should stay. But bench Walker. He's too much of a detriment to this once-prevailent team.

I'm hoping that Curry is brought in for Walker. It may be an option too...

RE: Walker trade? Yes
Walker's fate will be decided in the playoffs, for better or worse. No one was this quick to run Jamison out of town when he was slumping.
As for NVE, I'll pass. He's spending the season on the injured list with knee problems. Jamison is a younger, taller, better rebounding 6th man, and best, delk and daniels together add up to a pretty good backup point guard.

RE:Walker trade? Yes
At this point, let's just hope that Walker doesn't destroy his trading value to this team.

He won't. His biggest "trading value" to this team is his expiring contract, and he won't opt out.

Good point Dalm. I just hope this team (especially Nellie) can see how ineffective Walker has been (or might be in the playoffs), and actually trade him in the off-season.

"...how ineffective Walker is (or might be in the playoffs)..."
AND that's why I'm not already shipping him to Zimbabwe right now....For the hope that he SHOWS UP this postseason and helps the team WIN.

RE: Walker trade? Yes
I feel Walker needs to be traded for the Mav's to do anything good. When he plays hard and smart the Mav's are unstoppable, but he is not worth the frustration he causes by 10-15 game stretches where he can't hit the broad side of a barn, and he throws up 5+ threes a game.
I have become so desperate for the Mav's to trade him, I would like to see him traded for Grant Hill and a future draft pick. Hill, if healthy(doubtfull), is everything the Mav's wanted Walker to be. If not at least we get a draft pick. Orlando would do this to try to win now and keep McGrady in town. It also frees up Howard and or Gooden to be traded, the Magic's only tradeable assests outside of T-Mac. If it doesn't work out for them they don't have to pay him, and if T-Mac and him leave they would get cap room to start over again. Not probable to happen, but after seeing Walker for this long I just want him gone.

Even if Walker suddenly turns it on in the Playoffs? Walker seems to play a bit SMARTER when the Games REALLY COUNT, Last year's debacle notwithstanding....

I hope you are correct MT, and Walker "turns it on" for the Playoffs. I will be disappointed if this team doesn't make the WCF. I still think they are 2 players away (legit starting/shotblocking C, and backup PG/shooter) from winning it all though.
