I actually think that this thread needs to be moved to the Mavs section as you people have no idea how pertinent "lamps" are to the Dallas Mavericks Game Operations.

Master Electrician calls 3 Vendors and requests bids on said lamp
3 Vendors state their arguments as to why their bulb is the best and promise to keep backup bulbs in stock locally.
Junior Electrician points out why the cheapest bulb isn't the best (too little mercury and you're screwed)
Admin Assistant #2 requisitions favored bid.
Purchasing Agent approves the req and issues a Purchase Order (PO) number
Admin Assistant #2 faxes PO to contact at given lamp company
Vendor with winning bid loses fax with PO#.... (get the picture?)

That is absolutely classless to imply that Walker can't handle a lightbulb. Just because the guy can't shoot 3's worth a dang doesn't mean he can't twist a lamp into a socket.
Sheesh.

Like english grammar?

or reading comprehension?

or the ability to concede a mistake?

or the ability to simply walk away from a lost argument instead of trying to sneak out with some lame ass comments and wrong accusations while completely ignoring the facts?

Well Chiwas, once again you were the one to start it.
You took a cheap shot at me a couple posts above, reffering to an incident a couple days ago where you clearly made a mistake and then proceeded to wrongly accuse me of abusing my mod status, while all I did was keeping the board clean.
You are really suffering from persecution mania. Get over it allready.

Clearly made a mistake?
NP started after me the same poll that I did -and that you locked- and you didn't do anything.
LRB started after NP and me the same poll that I did- and that you locked- and you didn't do anything.
Your Boss started, after all of us, the same poll and you didn't say anything.
You clearly made a number of mistakes.
That's our psychologist unbiased "moderator".

RE:How many D-M.com posters does it take to change a light bulb
how about this
20- the members split into two factions after "the darkening". 15 are for the outting of the bulb even though there arent any replacements around and 5 are for letting the burnt out bulb stay in the socket. The pro-lightbulb posters tell the lightbulb removal supporters to "chill out" and that we should just give the light more time (its just in a funk and it was bright at some point.) Those that support removing the bulb argue that the bulb was crappy anyway. Then there are those that argue that the light isn't out at all or that there is an up-side or "silver-lining" to the light being out.
Then the owner of the house just runs more electricity through the circuit.
It remains dark.

How many Dallas-Mavs.com posters does it takes to change a light bulb?
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been
changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the
light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
10 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing
light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another
6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term
is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light
bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please
take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light
bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where
to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for
this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the
corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to
this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including
all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they
cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting
questions about light bulbs"
18 who trip over each other in their rush to say "repost!"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and
starts it all over again.

I actually think that this thread needs to be moved to the Mavs section as you people have no idea how pertinent "lamps" are to the Dallas Mavericks Game Operations.
And hey, you missed a few bulb changers! Don't forget:
Platinum seat holder notices the bulb is out & tells Manny*.
Manny calls the President.
The president calls the director.
Director calls Admin Assistant #1 to tell her to place the Work Order.
Director tells Dispatch to radio the Master Electrician of the need to replace bulb
* All names changed to protect the innocent.
|
Never forget... at least 4 people to quote the ENTIRE original post (and some after it) in their reply...
|
Excellent rebuttal!!!!

What's a rebuttal?
|
This thread is becoming very humorous...
rebuttal - n 1: the act of refuting by offering a contrary contention or argument 2: a pleading by the defendant in reply to a plaintiff's surrejoinder [syn: rebutter]

Your Boss started, after all of us, the same poll and you didn't say anything.
You clearly made a number of mistakes.
That's our psychologist unbiased "moderator".

I´ll tell you a little secret, the "General Mavs discussion area" is about the Mavs. So there aren´t too many things to talk about. Given that it´s quite natural that you´ll have the same topics over and over again. That obviously goes for Nellie too.
Now let´s see. Murphy started his poll on April 22, you started your poll a couple hours later, that´s why I locked it, because we allready had a similar thread on the frontpage. It was only a couple threads below yours. Now when NP started his poll on April 29, Murphys poll wasn´t even on the frontpage any more. See the difference?? The concept is really not that hard to get.
I would have locked LRB´s poll had I been around at that time, but I´m sorry I do have a life and can´t spend all my time on internet msg boards.

One self-righteous ass trying to prove to everyone how he can post on any subject and know more than everyone else.
