October 29, 2004
PHOENIX (Ticker) - The Phoenix Suns on Friday reached a contract buyout with point guard Howard Eisley, who then was waived.
Eisley appeared in just three preseason games, averaging 2.7 points and 2.7 assists per contest.
"We are happy to have reached an agreement with Howard that satisfies the mutual interests of Howard's family and our team," Suns general manager Bryan Colangelo said.
Acquired in January from the New York Knicks in a deal that included Stephon Marbury, Eisley averaged 7.1 points and 3.4 assists in 34 games with Phoenix last season.
