Harris and Okafor Named Rookies Of the Month
NBA.com Story
Devin Harris is the Western Conference rookie of the month... What other good rookies are there in the West? The only one I can think of is Beno from San Antonio.

Shaun Livingston, Kris Humphries, Kevin Martin, Beno Udrih, Jackson Vroman...
basically the only rookies that have done anything so far.

not sure Harris deserves to share this title with Okafor

RE: Harris and Okafor Named Rookies Of the Month
Dwight Howard, Josh Childress, Luol Deng, Andre Iguodala, and Josh Smith would all be up there if it was a pool

It is...I looked at the list of rookies in the western conference. A lot seemed like they just got out of HS and were picked as projects in the league.

RE:Harris and Okafor Named Rookies Of the Month
a few computations
the first round picks (West) by minutes played
Devin Harris (5th, 22.7mpg, 16starts)
Shaun Livingston(4th, 21.2)
Beno Udrih (28th, 13.5mpg)
J.R. Smith (18th, 9.7mpg)
Kris Humphries(14th, 8.7mpg)
Kirk Snyder(16th, 6.2mpg)
Sasha Vujacic (27th, 5.7mpg)
Sebastian Telfair (13th, 4.4mpg)
Andris Biedrins (11th, 4.0mpg)
Robert Swift (12th, 3.9mpg)
Kevin Martin (26th, 3.5mpg)
Pavel Podkolzine(21st, 0.0mpg)
Viktor Khryapa (22nd, 0.0mpg)
Sergei Monia (23rd, 0.0mpg)
103minutes played by Western rookies. 16starts (all by Devin Harris)
The first round picks (East) by minutes played
Emeka Okafor (2nd, 34.8mpg, 13starts)
Dwight Howard (1st, 31.3mpg, 14starts)
Andre Iguodala (9th, 30.5mpg, 14starts)
Luol Deng (7th, 29.4mpg, 3starts)
Ben Gordon (3rd, 22.6mpg. 3starts)
Josh Childress (6th, 21.7mpg, 5starts)
David Harrison (30th, 20.3mpg, 7starts)
Jameer Nelson (20th, 13.6mpg)
Al Jefferson (15th, 13.4mpg)
Josh Smith (17th, 12.1mpg, 9starts)
Tony Allen (25th, 12.1mpg)
Delonte West (24th, 12.0mpg)
Rafael Araujo (8th, 7.9mpg)
Luke Jackson (10th, 4.2mpg)
Dorell Wright (19th, 0.0mpg)
265 minutes played by Eastern rookies. 68games started by rookies in the East.
Devin has lead the Western rookies in MPG and number of starts. He would be 5th in mpg if he was in the East, and would be one of 4 players that had started every game.
