What game are you watching? Aside from some turnovers on offense Damp has been playing great.

Josh Howard is fast becoming the Mavs' most well-rounded player.

Dirk needs to take KG off the dribble. He's never shown the ability to guard Dirk when he decides to drive.

RE:Mavs @ Wolves Game Day Thread
What I like about today's game is there isn't much one on one play. I honestly think this team is at it's best when they are playing more of a team game offensively. Now we need to get Dirk more shots.

Armstrong shoots too damn much.
Howard, you need to make some of those shots in the lane.

Stack's sitting their whining to the officials while the Wolves go down and drill a 3.
Stack is an idiot. He is an m' f'ing idiot.
Howard, how about getting a hand in Wally's face? That was lazy.

Same game as you. How many pages of posts since that particular post? He has started playing better since that time. But Bradley was playing better and that might have motivated Damp a bit.

RE: Mavs @ Wolves Game Day Thread
And Dirk throws it down.
But I hate sometimes the way the Mavs look away from Dirk during stretches. Make KG defend Dirk. And Dirk can find cutters. But when Dirk gets it and Garnett is defending... the Mavs have got to move. Standing still watching Dirk will get them killed.

With Dirk out on the perimeter guarding Wally,...the trio of Howard, Hendu, and Damp have done a great job on the glass.

Btw, Dirk had that rebound if Josh Howard just realizes where he is on the court. Sometimes his overaggressiveness costs the Mavs. It did on that play.
And that 3 by DA should've counted.

Yep, Howard needs to be aware of his surroundings. After a great start, he's looked pretty bad since coming back from the elbow. Hopefully he's ok.

I posted it late but I wasn't even referring to his little run towards the end of the 2nd. Damp was handling KG pretty well in the 1st quarter. Gave us some rebounds in that first quarter also. I don't get how you can say Bradley played well but Damp didn't. I thought they both played very well for the time they were in the game.

Since when is everyone having about the same amount of shots necessarily a good thing? Sure, it can be from time to time, but there's a reason why certain players average 17-18 shots per game. Yes, it's nice when you don't have to be overly reliant on one player, but it's usually also nice when perhaps the most unstoppable offensive force in the game gets more touches than everyone else on the team.

LOL. Josh was standing right in front of Dirk when they both attempted to go for that rebound.

It's a good thing when others are playing well. It isn't when just one person is shooting and the rest of the players sit and watch rather than be aggressive. Not sure what got into the Mavs tonight but Henderson, Damp and Josh aren't doing much watching tonight. And to be honest most of those shot attempts by other players are mostly tip-ins. Dirk for whatever reason isn't getting much shots which is why they attempts look spreaded out like that.

Damp just can't grab the ball sometimes thats all. He will tip the off his leg or miss an easy layup. It gets frustrating. Having said that, he appears much more agressive since Bradley left the game. Just my opinion.

RE: Mavs @ Wolves Game Day Thread
Keep other players shooting, atleast until it stops working. That way we show the other team that they have to guard a person other than Dirk. Then Dirk will be getting the open shots and will be well on his way to 40 pts ;D

I have no problem with everyone being involved. That's how it should be. However, the idea of being equal distribution of shots is not a good thing. Does anyone remember last year when the shot distribution was a big issue the entire season? Yes, it is an important thing for all to be involved though.
