Will Timberwolves trade Garnett?
Chicago Tribune
Tribune columnist Sam Smith wonders if Kevin Garnett will ask the Timberwolves to deal him. Garnett could end up with the Lakers, Mavericks, Bulls, Wizards or Magic if he forces a trade. wouldnt that be nice if we didnt have to trade dirk LINK?

A starting frontcourt of Dirk and KG would be the sickest on-court pairing since MJ and Pippen. It will never happen. And Sam Smith is an idiot.

Not gonna happen. They'll just dump the malcontents (Sprewell and Cassell) and retool as quickly as they can.

Only the Lakers are dumb enough to trade away a top-five player in the game.

You trade away the scrubs, fire Flippy, tank the season for a nice pick...whatever - you don't trade Garnett.

Guys like KG come along once a generation. The T-Wolves can't possibly trade him w/o recieving Dirk in return. The T-Wolves need to trade Spree and Cassel.
