yes, that is an amazing stat..however, i'm sure you could look at the lakers, the spurs, the kings...you would see similar stats.

yes,the mavs have good coaching....more importantly, the mavs have great players.

the only problem is that the mavs are rarely leading going into the 4th quarter against top opponents..so the stat is a bit misleading...it's not like the mavs are holding the lakers, spurs, kings, and trail blazers off with a 1 point lead going into the 4th..

more often than not, the mavs are trying to scrap their way back from a deficit against those teams

do we need a coach to keep track of timeouts? i can think of a couple of times in the past month when we desparately needed a timeout to advance the ball to midcourt.

Interesting stat. Was it from a poster or did they cite the source? I'd agree on the surface, but murph raises a valid point...we often are playing from behind in the games that "count".
