one would think that the mother of all wars would have at least hit the front of the sports page

I think Mexico losing to the US in the 2002 world cup would be more Embarrassing. The chick on the front page is hot though

A win there will be very hard for El TRI. A draw will be fine considering that the US has had the number of Mexico -also in soccer- for a couple of World Cup cycles.

Both teams will be in Germany, no doubt, but who will be the first place in this tournament? it's the interesting issue.

Private bets accepted, of course.

Not in the mood to make comments after a lame game of Mexico against Panama (well, just one: sheesh! there are more soccer players in my -non soccer- city than in that country!)

The US played a good game against Guatemala though.

We looked much more to form in Birmingham, a solid game with Donovan and johnson leading the way.

red cards hurt, it bit Mexico (and France too) yesterday. late goals that salvage a point for the underdog. a gift.

now the US wull have sole possession of first place in september

The US has never won in Mexico. What is the deal with Donnovan pissing on the field. I heard that he wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom in the stalls.

Didn't the Burn trade for some one on the Mexican National team.

The Dallas Burn do not exist anymore....they are now called FC Dallas. And yes....they signed former LA Galaxy player Carlos Ruiz, who should improve FC Dallas' fortunes this season.

that was reportedly done at a qualifying match in Guadalajara earlier. He claims they would not open the restroom for the US team.

Carlos Ruiz (who plays on the Guatemala National team) was traded to FC Dallas so the Galaxy could sign Landon Donovan, who was unhappy in Europe.
