It has come to my attention the last couple of weeks that alot of comparisons have been made to the 80's Maverick's -vs- these Dallas
Maverick's. Everyone keeps asking who is better, or weather we think that these Maverick's are as good. First off, until the Maverick's make it to the NBA Finals then the 80's Maverick's will always get my vote. But with that said, I think it about time that the comparison to the 80's Showtime Laker's is due. I agree that until the Maverick's pop off 5 Titles in a decade it will just an oppinion, but still. The way the Maverick's entertain, and the way they run, and the way they take out teams in the 3rd quarter dictates that some kind of comparison be made. So my job for the weekend is to compile some stats, and do a little homework, and in the next couple of days I'll let you know what I have found out. Magic, Jabar, Worthy, Scott, and Cooper, compaired to Finley, Dirk, Nash, Eddie, and Lafrentz.

I have finished my column on "Showtime Mav's. But I am a rookie at computers and cant figure out how to get it from dallasmavs.net, or my email to this sight. If any one can explain that to me it would be appreciated, if not, got to the sight, read the column, and then let's have a discussion.
