The East is at it again
New Jersey leads the Atlantic Division with a 9-9 record and Miami leads the Southeast Division with a 10-10 record! Two of the three divisions in the east are led with team at .500! WTF? Just give the conference championship to Detroit already.

Also, the 8th seed right now is below .500. Everyone is talking about the West getting weak like the East is something to be reckoned with.

And just do away with the stupid divisional alignment altogether.
Two Conferences, No Divisions. It's killing the NBA product.

I wouldnt care if two divisions were at .500, but giving each division leader 2nd and 3rd place no matter HOW bad they are? It's ludicrous

Yea, but it leads to some interesting second-round matchups!

The Central Division has EVERY team over 500. That's the only division in the NBA that can boast that.

With New Jersey's loss to Philly tonight, the leader of the Atlantic is now below .500 =P

Just imagine if the Mavs moved to the Atlantic Division.
Oh the possibilities...

If all 8 teams in the central division have the 8 best records in the East at the end of the year, then there are going to be some pissed off people because 2 pretenders are going to get the 2nd and 3rd seeds even if they are the 9th and 10th best in the East, while the 7th and 8th best are going to get bumped to 9th and 10th.

the system is definitely flawed, and must be changed sometime in the near future.
