You know me, I love playing fantasy sports. ESPN usually has an NBA Playoff fantasy game but they haven't announced anything yet. I'll keep my eyes open over the coming days. If there gonna do something, they should announce something in a day or 2.
But yeah, that would be cool .

Now that I'm back, I'll play the fantasy playoff game.
As for an idea, do you remember the post I had a while back on my suggestions?

It appears, at the moment, that ESPN won't be having a NBA playoff challenge. It looks as though they are just going to continue Virtual GM through the playoffs instead of making a new fantasy game. I'll still keep my eyes open though.
I kinda remember what giostar had said a while back, and if he's willing to do that, that would be a good option I supose.

I guess we'll either have to make one up our self or not have one. I can't seem to find any playoff fantasy games out there.

I'll try and get the details up today. Its really easy to do and keep up with. The basics, choose 3 guards, 3 forwards, and 2 centers. You get points on them as long as their team is still alive in the playoffs. But you can NOT choose two players on the same team... no finley and Nowitzki. Also you can play a person on any position this person usually plays. example... Nowitzki can be used at Forward or Center. Finley can be used at Forward or Guard, but not at the center obviously. I'll post more later. But if interested, start getting an idea of who you want to use now. Playoffs are only days away!!!

Ok, so here it goes...
You get points based on a players performance.
2 pt per FG
1 pt per FT
1 pt per Rebound
1 pt per Blocked Shot
1 pt per assist
3 pts for 3 pt FG
1 pt per steal
You need to pick 8 players. 3 Guards, 3 Forwards, 2 Centers.
These players can be on any team. But you can not pick 2 players on the same team. No Kobe and Shaq, no Fin and Nowitzki. There are 16 teams in the playoffs, thats 1 player per 2 teams!
Once your player's team has been eliminated from the playoffs, you do NOT get to pick another player... you just won't get any more points for them. If you pick malone as your Forward, then you won't get any points for him once the jazz get the hell beat out of them by the Mavs!
Like I said in the other post. You can not have a person on your Playoff Fantasy Team at a position they don't normally play. You can not play Steve Nash as your center, nor your forward. If you choose Finley (for example), he plays both the SG and SF position, so you can have him as one of your players at either position.
Its that easy. What else do you need to know? Obviously you want to pick players on teams that you think will play more game (whether it be going further in the playoffs, or taking more games to win a series).

Sounds good to me . Who all's gonna play?
One question. Are you going to add up the points or do we do it our self?

I suppose that I could keep up with the points. I wont be that hard.
So if you are interested, send your private messages to me here. You have until 10 minutes before the 1st playoff game to do so. I will copy you all on the teams once we have them all set.

I was just wondering about guys like Scot Pollard and Dale Davis, would they be considered Forwards or Centers, because they play both the 4 and the 5.

Yes, please PM me your teams.
Scot Pollard and Dale Davis can be used as one of your forwards or one of your Centers as they play either position.
