Carmelo to stay with Nuggets and sign a max deal
Boy are they going to regret giving this guy max money..He's a nice player, but he doesnt' make anybody better and certainly shouldn't be getting the max.

Hes alot more than a nice player. I think the making others better argument is signifigantly overrated as i think how much better you make others is directly related to how good the others are themselves. Jordan didnt make others better until pippen got there, no im not comparing them as players just using an example of an amazing player who had the same argument used against him. Dirk has it used against him frequently as well despite the fact that he does it as well as anyone in the game.

Carmelo is great marketing, regardless of how he plays.

It just goes to show you that NBA owners have more money than brains.

Wow, Melo with a max deal? That seems a little too much more him.

You've got to show a commitment to your franchise player, and melo definately is their guy for the upcoming decade. Melo is amazing, it's suprising how some people really underrate him. If you remember he was probably the clutchest player in the nba last season. And he did carry that denever team.
IMO great move by the nuggets to get this out of the way and this can only help persuade fa's to come play there.

Melo reminds me of Dirk. It may be a bit early for a max deal, but the Nuggets had no choice. If he improves every year by adding new tools to his game, it'll be worth it.

He doesnt remind me of dirk at all. He reminds me ALOT of bernard king though. It depends on what you think should be required of a max player i guess. Pretty much i would say if you are a top 15-20 player you are probably going to get/are worthy of a max deal. He is a top 15-20 player.
