It affected me yesterday, when I had to play cartpath only at Grapevine Municipal, and there was standing water on every tee box. I was not amused.

it's definitely affecting me. I put down some new sod in my yard this year and I'm happy to report that it looks splendid. I'm sorry that people have to lose their houses and whatnot so that I can have a nicer lawn but those are just the breaks.
Alex prays for rain, Alex gets rain.
cheers

That storm front is affecting me as well. The misery in the middle of the country has kept a nice low pressure front hovering over us here in D.C.. Our usual miserable summer weather of 90+ degrees with 90+ percent humidity have been replaced by a perfect low seventies. I actually haven't run the A/C for a couple of weeks... Keep up the good work.

I'm sure you would love the weather if you were coming to Cincinnati next week. We have had sun and summer/spring temps since early may. Screw the Dallas heat lol....See you soon!

I spoke too soon... my bike ride home last night sucked and this morning I was dripping in sweat before 8am -- supposed to be in the HIGH 90s with near 100% humidity today --- you filthy bastages are failing me

If you saw the footage of the jacked up baseball fields in Trophy Club, that's only about a half a mile from my house, although I'm nowhere near the creek that rose 6 feet Sunday night and caused all the mayhem. In driving around, it looks like a good number of the houses next to that creek were at least flooded to the point of pulling the carpet.
..on the other hand, I finally got a sprinkler system installed and operational yesterday, so really I suppose that all of the rain in general is my fault.

Well, I got almost 7 inches of rain here in Keller a couple of nights ago in around an hour and a half. Then tried to go running at Bear Creek Park.... Dead fish 150 feet away from the creek... it flooded just a little.

Wouldn't that suck to be a fish. Suddenly your little creek world gets alot bigger.... so you venture out into undiscovered country only to find that the bigger world is shrinking again..... And leaving you behind.
Tragedy.

Last week there was some flash flooding at Hillcrest and Northwest Hwy. I had picked up lunch to bring back to work, and Northwest Hwy was flooded just west of Hillcrest. I was driving my little car through some 8" water...eek

It's always interesting to see people you know on TV on top of their roof after basically cutting a hole in their attic while trying to escape flood waters...

The free kind? Dang it I can't stop laughing....
You were talking about free fish that wandered out after a flooding storm, right?

I was just saying, the case may be that while some of us caught it fresh, murph went out and had to buy his, and perhaps the kind you had to pay for was a little smelly.
The fish.
I'm talking about the fish.
