I think they got it from Mike Fisher. Here is what he posted today at dallasbasketball.com
The Mavs have invited about 19 guys to try out for the Mavs Summer League team. They’ll participate in a camp through Wednesday, then the 19 will be cut to 5 or 6 guys who will be part of the second phase of the camp with 8 or 9 other guys. By Monday, the group will be trimmed to 16 and then to 11 and will start play in the Long Beach Summer League.
Mavs vet Tariq Abdul Wahad is the only guy guaranteed a spot for the team, which will be coached by Ro Blackman, and assisted by Charlie Parker.

And can someone give me a clue as to who some of these people are? The only ones I've heard of are Ellis, and Boyce (one of Finley's HS friends).....

Celestand was on the roster last summer and he played pretty well. Previously he played for the Lakers on their first or second run.

You had never heard of Lynn Greer?? C'mon. He was a 20+ ppg guy. Pascal and Maras were the two German guy's. Pascal is a pg, Maras a C, 7"1. Hannock is a pf/c i believe.

Pascal Roller is really good. I´m curious to see what he can do there. You´ll all get to see him at the Worldchamps, cause he will be our starting PG.

holy hell!! casey calvary?! I would go apeshit (in a good way) if he made this team.
that guy defines hustle. he's kinda like najera (undersized PF), but a MUCH better shooter and jumper. he has range and is a good rebounder.
if you may or may not remember, he was the guy that made the tip-in against florida to get to the elite eight to play uconn.
we need to find richie frahm and get him a tryout, too!

Donny Boyce
Here's the small forward everyone has been looking for. However he probably won't make the team. Him getting invited to play on the summer league team was probably due to Michael Finley who is good friends with him and played hs basketball with him. He also played for the Hawks for a bit but never really got much time.

Seems like german center Robert Maras has a good chance to make the team. He made it to the second round of the tryouts and coaches seemed to be impressed. They considered him one of the three best players of the first round. Roller, the geramn guard didn´t make the cut. You can read it here. But it´s in german.

Actually there´s not much more other than some Mavs officials might have dropped he´d be "a top three" performer so far and he has "good chances" of making the summer league roster. Then there´s something about the Mavs summerleague schedule, about what summer leagues means and how to get into the regular roster ...
