Dallas's forwards have been on an absolutely great run over the last 3 games.
Denver: Dirk--32 pts., 12 rebounds, 6 assists Josh--20 pts., 6 rebounds, 1 assists Utah: Dirk--16 pts., 8 rebounds, 3 assists Josh--47 pts., 10 rebounds, 2 assists New York: Dirk--36 pts., 7 rebounds, 4 assists Josh--22 pts., 6 rebounds, 4 assists Three game averages: Dirk--28 pts., 9 rebounds, 4.3 assists Josh--29.7 pts., 7.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists That works out to about 29-8-3 from Dallas's starting forwards. If they prolong this run much longer, then you've got start thinking that Dirk and Josh are the best pair of starting forwards in the league for a long time. A lot of Dallas's problems are going to disappear if Dirk and Josh keep playing like this. Double teaming Dirk isn't going to look like much fun; you can afford to play a purely defensive guard and center if you want; you can beat teams by outscoring them if you need to; everybody else gets easier opportunities and can save some energy for defense. How about a line up featuring Batman and Batman! |

That's while combining to shoot 54% and combining for only slightly fewer steals and assists (9) than turnovers (12).

of course 3 games doesnt really mean a whole lot. if they can average close to that through 20 games then I'll be very impressed. 47 point games only happen every so often and cant really expect that to happen every 3 games.

Just noticed that josh/dirk are 12th/13th in PER. I'm liking this quite a bit. If josh continues at this pace we've really added something.
That's hollingers PER rating. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/holli...r%2fstatistics All we have to do now is fix the defense and we are cooking. Unfortunately Manu/Duncan/Parker are 2,9,11th. That manu has been something this year. But the suns are sucking.. Amare/Nash/Marion are 7/16/34... Hah!! (actually not too bad).
