Isn't that why Cubes let Nash walk? Because we needed a center? Not saying that was the right move, but I'm pretty sure that's what he was thinking (because it's was I was thinking that summer too.) Really, what would have been ideal would be to trade Finley for a rebounding center, and re-sign Nash.

Interesting point. It's not that big a stretch to compare the Nash-Dampier trade to the Marion-Shaq trade. A couple of rookie GM's, each trying to trade small and fast for big and strong.
