This is discouraging. Especially since after listening to Donnie yesterday I don't think we're trying to buy a pick.

We are not getting into the first round. We have projects in Wright/Bass/Terry already, let's get some proven stars in here.

Rumored offer tossed out by Portland was they giving up the 13, 33 and either Jack or Blake to the Nets for #10 and salary fillers. NJ probably told them no and that 33 was too low. I think NJ will probably wait until the players shake out. It's 10 man draft...Rose, Beasley, Mayo, Westbrook, Bayliss, Galinari, Alexander, Love, Gordon and Lopez. I think if Nj ends up with one of the guards, they'll probably make the deal. Can't see them adding, Gordon, Bayliss to their backcourt.

I agree, it's rather disappointing. I had read that New Orleans hadn't worked out any potential first round picks and I was hoping we'd grab their pick.

I was really hoping to have a more interesting draft this season, but it appears to not be in the cards.

Who knows what we're trying to do right now, anyone's guess is as good as the others right now.

NO is cash poor, they will sell picks for cash. They will take on expiring's for cash and a pick like they did last year.

Well the draft is the kickoff to NBA player movement, the time between the finals and draft, is really dead in terms of player movement and trades.

Portland has said all along that they want to trade some of these picks to get some veteran help. They likely have a deal in place with someone after buying the pick from NO.

I think we're trying to move up but NO is a division opponent so all cash being equal, they preferred to add a first rounder to a foe outside the division where Texan giants roam.
