In germany a blue collar guy makes 12 €, maybe 16€. Means working a whole day ( maybe longer ) for a fill-up.

Syria ramping down production...... awesome. Predicted barrel price by the end of the year: USD170.00.
If you wanna get rid of your SUV's the time is now. I can't believe how many people I see everyday driving Pathfinder Armadas and Escalades and GX's by themselves, with no one else in the car. Talk about waste....

This is the end of the SUVĀ“s and Pick ups, such as 1978 was the end of the muscle cars. You can count on that !!!
*sigh* RIP Charger

Driving from Springfield/Branson, MO to the Midwest Farm Country, I saw a low of 3.69 per gallon. In my neck of the woods, gas is right around 3.80 per gallon. Of course, the cheap gas here is 10% ethanol and is the mid grade (89-90 octane). Regular unleaded with no ethanol and 87 octane is around 3.90 per gallon

Dodge re-released the Charger in 2006 and hasn't taken it off the market at all...
Dodge has brought out the Challenger now...
Ford is not backing off the upgrades to the Mustang to compete with Dodge...
The muscle car, pickup, and SUV are alive and well

We are completely at the mercy of the rest of the world. They could all get together and decide to completely ruin this country if they wanted to with oil production.

OK, this stuff isnĀ“t that easy to handle. We know SUVĀ“s as lifestyle cars,
pick ups for transportation, Chargers for fun.
No doubt, people who are well off, maybe will keep on buying G-Mercedes etc., but
will they pay 150 $ for a fill up ? People who need to transport heavy goods
or a boat sure will choose a pick up.
But generally, i donĀ“t believe in the future of the big block. Discount
prices for those cars and closed factories show a decreasing demand. Maybe
those cars have a future with cheaper liquid gas.

You hit the nail.
When I was in the US some years ago, I went crazy when I did the math job to compare the prices.
On the other hand, forgive me, but I think the US should have a lot higher prices still.
It's ok to have a pick-up, if you need it transport-wise, but in every other case, it's just an ecological nightmare.
Back then, when we were paintballing with some friends in CA, one guy startet his pickup engine a whole half-hour before we left, to get his car cooled. Crazy, just crazy.

Gas on Vancouver Island was $5.75/gallon ($1.52 a liter) this weekend (Canadian & US dollars are practically equal right now). It was a bit cheaper halfway between Vancouver & Whistler at $5.37 a gallon.
Yikes!

As our economy plunges, so does the price of gas?
My economics professor didn't know what the hell he was talking about!

If you see a gas station with that price, drive away as fast as possible because they are trying to unload the old gas on you with the so called higher prices. Look around your area and you will see under $3 gas.
