I'm guessing it's a Ticketstock related announcement. This wouldn't be the first time they've doen that.
Also, today is the first day of the Mike Irvin show on 103.3, starting at 11, is it not?
I expect this to be WAY oversold. But I'm listening and will report.

Well... I'm doing something I preach to my users not to do.... streaming the audio.
So I should find out after this ticker too I guess.

Norm is discussing ticketstock. I knew it.
They're announcing the major autograph signer.

I guess Nolan Ryan is cool and all. But that could have been said not with the buildup.

Later in the show Norm said that the Hardline would address the Gregg Williams situation in their show today.

I've been looking forward to this show since ESPN comes in crystal clear in my office. I couldn't listen much today but I like what I heard. Mike is always an interesting listen. My only question is, how much does he know about baseball? And If the answer is not much, what is he going to do all summer?
Also think Kevin Kiley was a good choice. He comes off as smug but I perfer that to all the nameless faceless talking heads on the station.

I'd say I care very little about Mike Irvin's opinion on anything other than football.
It's probably the best that station can do right now, but I'm not real interested.

Speaking of which, my company blocks The Ticket. Is it possible to a) somehow still pick up the audio stream and b) do it without IT finding out? My guess is no but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Greggo has officially resigned. That's it.
Edit: After Rhyner read the prepared statment, he went on to say that he would never discount what Greggo meant to the station. They are also wanting to bring in another person, but that its going to be difficult to find someone that fits.

Did they say anything about this ban against using his name/likeness?
Surely those drops are intellectual property of the station, no? Once everything is resolved I would think they'd be able to start using them again.
Was the prepared statement from Greggo at all? Or a station release?

It was an official release by the station. It didn't say much, except that he resigned. From there on it was standard press release fare.
They didn't say anything--at least that I heard--about the drops and name and such. I believe they did imply that the legal stuff is still going on.

Don't know about the status of any pending legal matters but they did use his name when talking about him which is more than they did two weeks ago.

Yes... that was funny. I loved how Georgie and Craig acted like they didn't know who that was that answered the phone.

I can't believe some of you think that Nolan Ryan at Ticketstock isn't a big deal... That's huge news.. better than anything that could have come out about Crackpipe Greggo.

If you care about Ticketstock maybe it is.
I would say about 10% of their listenership cares about Ticketstock.

So at least we get to keep fake greggo. Although I guess they can't call him that. Can they?

This story sheds some light on this..... apparently Ryan was in some position with the state or county dealing with the snow monkey issue one year when he was being interviewed by the Musers. One of the Musers asked him about it and he apparently talked for half an hour about the problem.... or somesuch..
That interview provided Gordo with a ton of material, obviously.

Makes sense. I ejoy the fake Nolan but it's always left me with a huge question mark over my head.
BTW, did anyone catch Rhynes' dig at Greggo Monday? Followill was sitting in and Rhynes accused him of staring off into space and not contributing after the Shaq to PHX rumor broke. He said he thought he was having a flashback to four months ago.

They do stuff like that all the time now. I love it.
Last week Corby asked Mike if he'd seen this movie about some guy's life long addiction with cocaine or something, and Mike said "boy I feel like I have".
