Yeah it's kind of sad. I hope he gets his S straightened out, but I agree with thig. I doubt he'll be back.
I've been wondering how long they'll go without naming a replacement (kevin scott?) I guess they'll probably go through the holidays like this, and then a change may come.
"Do you like this gig?"

Man, can KScott really replace Greggo? I dunno. I don't know if he has enough charisma. I go back and forth on what I want the Hardline to do to replace Greggo.
Can you imagine KScott getting fired from some spare station in Austin, then getting a permanent gig as a showhost on the Hardline? That would be nuts.

Corby is so much more entertaining than the Hammer anyways...but I am sad that my initial guess turned out to be right...very, very sad for a seemingly pretty decent guy

I always thought he seemed like a genuine ass myself.
I can't decide on Corby. I think he's a better professional broadcaster, but I can't decide if he has enough to be a genuine show host. I'm leaning towards no right now.
And I can't stand the focus on college football because that's all Corby and KScott know. What a beating.

KScott is a worthless windbag on air...
Corby knows hoops better than hammer (which isn't saying anything)...and knows football just as well if not better....I've always thought both the members of HL proper knew nothing about any sport not called the great game anyway though

Corby entertains me which is all I care about...the Hard Line is not a place to find actual worthwhile sports talk...

Greggo was completely worthless for any sports information, including baseball, so using him as a baseline doesn't really work.
But Greggo did bring a certain level of entertainment. If nothing else I'll miss all the drops. I'm just not sure the show can afford to not have a yuck monkey, and I think Corby is better suited for that.

I will listen to the hard line on the way home, but I don't make a point of listening to it at work. Grubes and Danny involvement always amuses me. I don't value their sports opinions much at all. Corby is waaaaay too interested in college football for me. I just don't care.
I'm a Bob and Dan guy personally.

I have to say that I really enjoy Kevin Scott.
Now if they just find a Rhyner replacement...

no doubt at all there...Corby will never be anything more than YM material...but he does that well.
The show is kinda a joke for sports talk...but I really doubt anyone ever listened for sports talk anyway...

I don't know about this. I heard Rhynes going on about the "future" of the show yesterday afternoon and I thought it sounded like he was definitely not coming back.
I know it's foolish to doubt this radio station because rarely do they do things that don't work but to not allow Greggo to come back (and yes, I know it would be AGAIN....) from this is foolish. Because right now drive time home is not as fun as it used to be. I feel sorry for the rest of the Hardline crew for sure. He has stabbed them in the back once more and I'm sure they are fed up with it. But the thing is that I only care about listening to Rhynes because of his chemistry with Greggo. They are the Hardline. There is no substitute as far as I'm concerned. No Greggo on the Ticket makes the Ticket not the same. And right now it's hard for me to believe it could get better without him.

Yeah, that update article I linked made it sound like it's not nearly so sure that Greggo will be back.

BaD Radio is easily the best show on the Ticket right now, imo. By a mile.
I look forward to the day that Mike retires and they move BaD to afternoon drive.

other than Norm (who is VERY overrated on anything not called football) is Bob the only real Sports guy the station has??? I love Skin, but he is pretty limited to hoops right?

Yes, I think Bob is the only person that could hold his weight on a truly legit sports talk show where knowledge of all sports is required. If we're discounting Norm, who could carry a conversation, but I agree, is very, very overrated on his overall knowledge.
Others could hold their own in some areas.
Dan - baseball, sort of. He's knowledgable on the game itself, but doesn't keep up much. And hockey, obviously, just from being with Bob and doing post games.
George - anything football and anything Mean Green.
Rhyner - good knowledge of baseball and football, but a lot of it is more historical than current.
Corby and KScott - College Football, that's about it.
Bob is the only one with any depth to his sports knowledge.

I would be thrilled if BaD radio were moved to drive time. They definitely have the most solid roster from top to bottom.
I guess Dan is not really a huge sports guy, and he can be an ass sometimes, but he's the perfect counterbalance to Bob's sportsiness.
I appreciate the fact that he would NEVER go the trouble of memorizing every single Superbowl, scores, and MVP....because most of us wouldn't.
And Donovan has added another great dimension to the show.
Screw the Hardline. Greggo's dissappearance has been somewhat fascinating...but the show is pretty worthless with or without Greggo.
I enjoy Corby and all...but a yuck monkey can't and doesn't carry a show.

I go back and forth. I still enjoy a lot of segments they do, but they almost never involve sports.
When a real big sports story is needing to be discussed, I definitely find myself wishing we had something a bit better than Hardline to discuss it.

I agree...the segments I enjoy are mostly when Danny and Corby dominate the conversation...and NEVER about sports...its getting to be that "We can't do what they do and they can't do what we do" would be a more accurate motto

I don't think anyone really listens to the ticket for their serious "sports talk." If you do, you're kidding yourself.
People love the ticket because it's guys just hanging out and talking about whatever, and making fun of each other. That's the greatness of the ticket.
And BaD radio has certainly endeared itself to me, with Stars talk, homer call, and gay/not gay. Not to mention the Stars post game show for home games.

I just want to take a moment to point out that Flac average over 16 posts a day on this board.
Truly amazing.
Does anyone even come close to that? Is anyone else in double figures?
(I figure a Ticket thread is as good a place as any to do a hijack like this. Just think of it as ENews getting completely derailed)
