RE:Doc's official gameday thread...the electoral tracking official thread.
It'll be tough but if Bush can get up to about 290 all of the Dem lawyers wont have a leg to stand on
We would have to win Iowa, New Mexico, Wisconsin and Ohio to accomplish that...everything is extremely close,,but this country seems to be on the right track

RE: Doc's official gameday thread...the electoral tracking official thread.
CNN just gave the last Maine electoral vote to Kerry. Sound familiar?
I think Bush has New Mexico wrapped up. I still haven't gotten the next data stream from there, but it was pretty heavy for Bush on the last data.

I know Dirkenstein.. I was interested in Doc's data...
Doc seems to get more up to date data... I have friends from Iowa who are hard core Repubs and would be crushed if Kerry won.

I am awarding New Mexico to George W. Bush. You will probably not see the networks declare NM for a while, but they just hit the model threshold.
Award 5 electoral votes to Bush.

RE: Doc's official gameday thread...the electoral tracking official thread.
I am now awarding Iowa to George W. Bush based on the data which just falls short of the model, but I have a perfect track record tonight so why not.
Give Bush Iowa and its 7 EV's...a state that he lost in 2000.

Iowa now falls within the model and can be confidently awarded to Bsuh.
It is so over. Kerry should show some class and concede.

Ohio, Iowa, Nevada, and New Mexico all look like they're in the bag ...all we need is Wisconsin to make it a landslide

RE: Doc's official gameday thread...the electoral tracking official thread.
Nevada trends out to Bush, but it doesn't fit the model to declare it quite yet.
Wisconsin is leaning slightly to Kerry right now.
Fortunately it doesn't matter.

RE: Doc's official gameday thread...the electoral tracking official thread.
From Hugh Hewitt...
------------------------------------
Pete Coors is a gentleman. Trailing by less than 50,000 votes out of nearly 1.8 million and with 12% of Colorado's precincts yet to be tallied, Pete nevertheless took a calm look at the numbers and called Ken Salazar to concede. Classy.
Contrast that with Tom Daschle, Tony Knowles and Betty Castor, and of course John Kerry. No reasonable interpretation of the data in any of these races can give any of these candidates a win, but they are hanging on.
Quote:
This is not the conduct of a great party, but it is also not surprising for the party of Michael Moore. What an example for the new democracies in Afghanistan and Iraq. Perhaps sleep will bring wisdom to this group. Sleep, and a good ahrd look at what Al Gore has become.
|
With the pick up of a net four seats in the United States Senate, the GOP is in a position to force votes on the president's judicial nominees. That is the major story for next week, after a concession is wrong from Kerry.
Congratulations President Bush, the first president since his father to carry a pure majority of the popular vote.

RE:Doc's official gameday thread...the electoral tracking official thread.
Lordy, lordy..... maybe Kerry needs a math class....
Edwards Says Democrats Will Fight for Every Vote
Nov 3, 2:44 AM (ET)
BOSTON (Reuters) - Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards, signaling that the party still hoped to win the close-fought U.S. election, said early on Wednesday that it would "fight for every vote."
With the tally in the crucial state of Ohio very tight and potentially hanging on 150,000 uncounted provisional ballots, Edwards told supporters in Boston that he and Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts would not give in.
"John Kerry and I have made a promise to the American people that with this election every vote would count and every vote would be counted. Tonight we are keeping our word and we will fight for every vote," Edwards, a North Carolina senator, said.
Ohio Election results:
OHIO
100% of Precincts Reporting
George W. Bush 2,777,645 - 51 percent
John Kerry 2,632,547 - 48 percent
Let's see, 2,777,645 minus 2, 632, 547 = 145,098
150,000 minus 145,098 = 4,912
So either Gore(ooops, I mean Kerry) gets 99% of the provisional ballots (ASSUMING the provisional ballots are all valid.... and I've heard that historically the valid margin of provisional ballots in Ohio is anywhere from 2% to 90%), or he comes to reality and admits he was defeated. I wonder if he's sucking on a pacifier this morning to console himself?
