Don´t think so. Germany is not exciting enough for the Dörk. He will stay in Texas and do gardening or so. And now that he has a girlfriend...

I saw a video where he said he wanted to go back and play in Germany when he doesn't have it anymore.
He'll still be able to compete in his country, and also build a lot of support for the sport in the area.

That actually would move basketball in germany to the TV-front-row. But i can´t imagine Dirk playing with those players. Dirks face after the olympics told everything.

Yes, I saw that one too. I also read it in some newspapers. But hopefully not after 2011. He stated that he doesn't want to play in the NBA if he cannot stay along with the other players anymore. And he doesn't want to play in the NBA with 36 or even being older. But to leave with 33? C'me one, at least he should play in the NBA until he's 35. He's a gym rat and I'm damn sure he will still bring it on the table until 2013.

Dirk sucks. Trade him for Pavel.

Got this from db.com -- didn't know where else to post it...
Said Terry: "I think my mentality and focus has changed. Dirk told me going into the season: 'There's one thing about you that bugs me, Jet. It's consistency. Some nights you come out looking great like an All-Star, and other nights I don't know what's going on.' So I took that to heart."
It shows.

If Dirk don't care, he wouldn't bother giving Terry some constructive criticism. If we can have Jet on every night, watch out.

Much thanks to you and greensborohill for finding that tasty morsel. This has me fired up! If jet can play like he's been playing the last two weeks, then we have a chance to be a very good team, especially when JHo gets back.

And I could see this thread (although I'd still disagree with it) being posted after a night where Dirk takes 8 shots, even if he hits a lot of them.
Dirk shot 27 times. A lot of them were drives to the hoop. A lot of them were jumpers that are still a better decision than 95% of NBA shots, simply because Dirk is taking them.
Dirk takes 27 shots and grabs 10 rebounds. He screams at the crowd. He screams at the clips. He celebrates.
"Dirk doesn't care anymore" my ass.

But the fire he used to have seems missing. There are times when he doesn't always make the effort play right in front of him, or he doesn't seem to push himself as hard as he might have sometimes.
Maybe it's not so much that he doesn't care as that he's just given up all hope of ever doing any better than he's already done. He's playing like a guy who has already achieved everything he'll ever be able to achieve and is just out there playing for the fun and pride of it.

It's a body language thing.
I'm not saying I'm down on Dirk for good. I'm just saying his body language and aggressiveness has not been consistently satisfactory over the course of this season, like a player of his caliber should be. Large portions of last night's game were examples of this.

People only want to pay attention to his point totals and his play in the last 5 minutes apparently.

I thought this thread was started two weeks or so ago, BEFORE we won 7 out of 8... I think there was a similar one then, wasn't there?
Someone said in another thread a while ago that you just have to look at Dirk's rebound numbers to find out about his intensity of play. I think he's averaging around 10 rebounds per games lately, so nothing to complain about.

I'm certain Dirk still cares. I'm not so sure that he hasn't lost a step since last season.

He doesn't care about the fourth quarter. So he just dropped 37 after three.

I'm not even a Dirk fan and I know Dirk cares. Hopefully he gets hurt December 18th though, so I don't have to worry as much about that game

Hopefully you contract (another) venereal disease, the symptoms of which involve your not being able to spew socially inept rhetoric on various and sundry message boards.
I'm sure we are not the only ones who would welcome that development. I do pity, however, the poor sap who gave you the disease. It's pretty hard to be THAT drunk.

Now I'm wishing we had rep...because you'd be getting some well-deserved bad ones. Blow that one back out where it came from.

well it's actually a good thing I want Dirk hurt, that means he is still good, so if he is hurt Decmeber 18th till December 20th it would be great. That or all the other mavs just all suck that one day would be swell, you got to understand what I am saying I sure you guys love when you play Nash and his team and win, same would go for Kidd coming back and losing
