Dieng'll be a hard-rebounding journeyman like Dalembert or Kanter. I imagine he'll be in the league for the next 5-10+ years, but will never be a star, because his ceiling is Serge Ibaka without the elite shot blocking.

I rather take a 10/10 guy (especially considering our poor Rebounding over the years) that has room for improvement than a midget with 170 lbs who may become a poor mans JJ Barea.

Remember the game we beat Suns in away, it was a Larkin game. On the other hand, Dieng looks like a really good centre, but Sammy played really well recently, and I mean it, he is solid. So I don't really miss Dieng or whatsoever.

Dieng keeps on playing very well.
Kid is a Rookie.
He had
12/15
9/8
12/20
21/14
Games over his last four. He also hit a Game Winner.
I doubt that his ceiling will be Sam Dalembert.
I think he has the ability to become on of the best Centers in the League. Just look how raw he still is and still putting up those numbers.
I doubt that Larkin will ever become more than a JJ Barea. His size and frame is just to big of a burden.
Point is: We should have taken Dieng (at that point we had not a Center other than Wright on our Roster).

MCW is ROY...
Another strike of bad luck for the Mavs. If Marcus Smart didnt return to college, we take MCW at #12.

MCW was given free-run of one of the the worst teams in the league. I'm happy that he is putting up big numbers in 35mpg, but I'm still not convinced that he's the real deal.
He was also drafted at 11. Our pick was 13th. I know we traded down, but I haven't heard any legit rumors about our ability to trade up.

I meant #13
Pretty sure the Thunder would stay big and still draft Adams. Same with Blazers and McCollum. Pretty sure one of Smart/Burke/MCW would be there at #13.

Couldnt find a shane larkin appreciation thread but I think he will do well in NY once he starts getting into a rhythm and being more aggressive.
Last night
28 minutes, 9pts 4-6fg, 5 assists, 5 steals, 3 TO

Larkin shot great in college, still think that will make or break him at this level, will need to be a good shooter to have positive value

Not sure where to put this: I'm working a random EuroBasket game tonight and was pleasantly surprised to see Larkin and Beaubois starting for the Spanish team in the match I cover.
Good to see the guys are around and doing their thing somewhere, although it didn't pan out in the NBA/Dallas.

Lucas Noguiera "Bebe" is getting run as Raptors backup Center and looks pretty dang good. Averaging 5.5- 6.3- 1.8 blocks in 21 mins per game. 24yrs old 7ft with a huge wingspan. Add him to the list of players we should've taken over alligator arms...
Epic fail.

Yep Bebe is the next big thing. He still doesn't compare to ABC.
