Planning on watching a few games today. I want to see that Danilo Gallinari kid...how is it physically possible to jack up as many threes as he does in a game (don't answer that, I know how).

I think Fluid just threw up in his mouth. But yea on the road at Dallas, on the road at SA the next night and home against Denver are three solid wins. The emergence of Bayless is the big story there. He didn't do much against us but carried them in SA without Roy.

wtf Ron Artest!
Quote:
Lakers: Artest fell down stairs at home
ESPN.com
Los Angeles Lakers forward Ron Artest will likely miss Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings after suffering injuries to his head and left elbow.
In a release Saturday, the Lakers said Artest tripped over a box at his home and fell down a flight of stairs. He was taken to the UCLA Medical Center, where he underwent several tests, including a CT scan.
The team reported he received stitches to both the back of his head and to his left elbow.
Artest did not travel to Sacramento with the Lakers. He was to be examined later Saturday by a neurologist, and the Lakers said that should allow for a timetable as to when he'll rejoin the team.
|
he was playing quiet good yesterday but fouled out in Q4. But the loss must have been frustrating, laker-fans were on the verge of riots throughout the game and I wouldn't blame him, if he had some drinks afterwards. I wonder what really happened then...

Who is this guy and where is he hiding the real Jason Terry? My lord....
I heard of shooting his way out of a slump.... but in the process he's just about to shoot us out of the game.

Also, is that what it takes for Jason Terry to make a shot? Shot clock winding down, a guy in your face, one possession game, 4th quarter? Can you be less clutch, please JET? You don't need extreme circumstances to start making shots....

Everytime The hornets lose, a piece of me comes closer to redemption for our playoff loss to them. Plus a frustrated Chris paul is always a sight to see.

I thought the Warriors were going to win at LA yesterday night until Kobe took the 4th but damn really the Lakers don't seem like a juggernaut of a team anymore

I kept a close eye on that game too. They've been hot lately, first phoenix, then boston, I thought they had a chance but as we all know, kobe is KO-BE!

The McGrady expiring contract extravaganza continues...
Quote:
The Rockets will not make a bonehead deal for McGrady, so you can forget about unloading Brand. Houston knows the value of a $23 million expiring contract.
Iguodala, however, could be a different story.
A lot of Sixers fans might not have faith in Iguodala, but he has the right abilities and is the right age for this deal. Houston wants a young, All-Star-caliber player to go with franchise center Yao Ming, who is scheduled to return from foot surgery next season. Iguodala, who averages 19 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists, would be a valuable addition to a team already with an established big man that could use an all-around player to complement.
The fact that Iguodala has 3 years left on his contract that rises to $14.7 million in 2012, with a $15.9 million player option for 2013-14, might make the Rockets pause.
But Yao can opt out of his contract for 2010-11, and Houston might need to show it is committed to keeping talent around him.
The Rockets might even be persuaded to take Dalembert, and his $11.1 million contract, to make this deal work within NBA salary guidelines. Dalembert maybe overpaid for what he contributes, but he is a 7-footer who can play defense and rebound. Besides, his contract expires after next season. If the Rockets won't take Dalembert, the Sixers could offer a package of Iguodala and other young players.
The only Sixer who should be marked as untouchable in this deal is 21-year-old Young.
A lot of teams reportedly are interested in acquiring McGrady's contract, but few are willing to give up a young core player to get it. The Sixers could jump to the front of the line by offering Iguodala. A trade for McGrady's contract wouldn't guarantee the Sixers are in for better fortunes.
Still, the way things are, few people believe this team is going anywhere good, now or in the near future. Change for change's sake is rarely good.

Philly is in the John Wall sweepstakes. If they do the trade, then they can tank, draft John Wall, and potentially a top FA to come and play with Wall.
I suggest this:
Rockets receive: Iggy, Dalembert, Speights
Sixers receive: McGrady, Dorsey, Taylor + 1st Round Pick
Rockets lineup would be:
Brooks/Lowry
Iggy/Budinger
Battier/Ariza
Scola/Landry/Anderson
Speights//Hayes/Dalembert/(Yao)
But, I would do a Iggy + Dalembert for McGrady trade any day. Dalembert would start for us this year, and provide great depth next year. Plus, he'd be a medium expiring next year (something else for Morey to play with).
And this story just came out today:
http://www.philly.com/inquirer/sports/80460547.html
Quote:
According to a source close to the situation, the Houston Rockets have said they would only consider shipping McGrady to the Sixers if the Sixers "knocked the Rockets over" with the amount of young talent included in the deal.
The source said that the teams have not spoken in "more than a week," but that a deal involving Iguodala "has a chance."
The Rockets, one of only a handful of NBA teams willing to take on salary, would have to be overwhelmed by the talent included - perhaps power forward Thaddeus Young, point guard Lou Williams, or center Marreese Speights - to take on contracts for McGrady's expiring deal.
The same source said the Rockets were unwilling to trade McGrady for Sixers center Samuel Dalembert and power forward Elton Brand, although the source confirmed that the Sixers have been trying to unload both players.

Reason: forgot to add Dalembert into the mock lineup

Don't look now but, Spurs are 3rd in the west and have won 5 straight to get to the upper echelon. These miscreants can never be counted out.

Their recent surge has been against sub-par teams. They still have a horrible record against teams above .500. I'll wait on them.

ITs going to be a rough game tonight especially with the B2B, but when has there been a connection between the Spurs and Mavs?

dunno about an actual connection statistically, but through my memory in more recent years every time we've chased the spurs for a better record and they lost we ended up not making any ground by losing the same night.

Denver surrendered a seven point-fourth quarter lead at home to the Warriors, Ty Lawson just went to the locker room with a foot- or ankle-injury and with Billups still suited.
115-111 warriors with 3:30 to play.
