Ellis can have monster games like today. 39 points, 13-22 fg%, 8-8 fts, 5-6 three pointers, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Averaging 24 ppg, 7.6 apg on 47% shooting in the last five. He still turns it over which would never be ok with Rick, but c'mon...he might even be an upgrade over Mayo. Mayo needs a big game against the Thunder today.

Dirk is getting to the catch and shoot age, so we really do need a *consistent* creator that can finish from anywhere. One that also knows when and how to give it up to the best shooter in the game too tho.

We also need to hit in the draft again. A GM that sticks around when the last great move he made is well on the downswing of his full career is interesting. How many others have lasted this long? Goes to show how great Dirk is Carrying Donnie since '98...talk about golden parachute.

Ah, but that was Papa Don, not young Donnie. Donnie has never really hit in the draft, but has done some fairly remarkable things in FA/trades. I mean, he did build the 2011 championship team...

I believe it was Donnie who was behind the scouting and such. Don was the trigger man. Someone else will know and probably has info on this fact....wait for it.
