our defense is literally getting manhandled.
we have 14 points off two farve interceptions. the packers should be leading this game.

This team really is playing incredibly well. It seems like every time I turn on a Celtics game they're up by 20+. The East is really as weak as ever. Barring injuries, I think this team is going to bulldoze their way to the finals with relative ease. I'm very anxious to see our Mavs play them a couple of times to see how well we match up.

It will be a tough match up
Dirk vs KG ill still have to give KG a lil advantage because his overall game
Allen vs ?? Terry both good shooters, if Terry is off thn not even close
Pierce vs Jho very close but gotta give pierce a lil advantage because hes a better shooter and more physical
It will be good games thou...

I can't wait for that matchup
they don't play a powerhouse from the West (Dallas, SA, Phoenix) until late January.

rondo is actually pretty respectable as a defender, plus you have KG behind him.
but, who can guard Devin/Parker/Nash anyways?

Its funny that the best Eastern Conference teams this year are the ones who got talent away from the West. Its about time. Things got real bad when AI came over to the West. Things just got so lop-sided. Teams like the Cavs shouldn't represent the East in the Finals. They're not good enough. But this Celtics team is intriguing. I don't think they've hit their peak yet either.

I agree. He's the one going unnoticed but that happens when you play alongside 3 other all stars. Teams are going to have problems with the Celtics. I'd like to see them play more Western Conference teams though. The Elite West teams anyway.

The Celtics are playing very well— very consistent on the defensive end, which is why they're a threat to win everything. On offense they've been mostly up and some down, particularly Ray Allen who has been fairly cold from outside. Once he gets his stroke back the Celtics should play even better.
Big Baby's been playing way better, way earlier than expected. He's solidly moved into the rotation and is now the first "big" man off the bench. He's amazingly fast for such a bulky guy. Kind of like Barkley in that respect but without the lift.
Posey and House have been rock solid. Perkins has done his stuff, particularly on defense. And Rondo is a real talent, growing game by game (he probably has the biggest hands in the league).
It's a strong contending-level team. It will be great to see them play the West's best. Something to look forward to.

Detroit, Chicago, and Orlando all this week during the Celtics' homestand.
They play the Jazz on the 29th of December which should be a good test.
Their first test against a top Western conference team isn't until January 31st when the Mavs meet them in Boston. That should be an awesome game if both teams continue to play well until that poing, and I'm pretty psyched that I will be there in person to see it

Bring them on, their lack of games against real competition may be their undoing come the NBA finals. I think the Orlando game will be enjoyable.

I don't know... an easy road to the Finals is good for Allen, Pierce and KG. Apart from building chemistry, there's not much that they're looking to add to their games.

Ray Allen actually has been shooting poorly. His ankle has bothered him since he twisted it in the Charlotte game. He's missed the last two contests. When he gets his shot back the Celtics will be even better- a scary thought. He should play on Wednesday against Detroit.
They will need Allen's shooting though as the schedule is getting a bit tougher.
I believe they're at or near an all-time high in margin of victory right now.
Their defense has been phenomenal.

The thing with Ray is that he can go 1-11, but then hit a game winning three at the buzzer.

Yeah, he's already done it twice, against Toronto and Charlotte. Two buzzer beating game winners. Daggers.
