I don't think I've ever seen anyone post as fast and as much as you have in such a short span.
You'll be passing me for guru soon.

RE: Congrats to mandyahl
thanks for the congrats, everyone.
however, my posting is going to be slowing down drastically because it has been pointed out to me that post padding means i lose people's respect, which is necessary to have in order to be listened to in the general mavs section.
as much fun as i have had racing to platinum, i would rather be able to talk mavericks and be listened to, as this is why i came to the board to begin with.
i just hope that i haven't killed my hopes for ever being respected by posting so much in the last month and a half.
again, it has been fun, and thanks to all of the people that played the post padding games with me. we had some good times.

I can't imagine that what you do in the lounge section affects your respectability in the Mavs section.

RE: Congrats to mandyahl
i can't tell if you are being sarcastic, but i will assume you are not.
what i have been told is that post padding, which i obviously have been doing a lot of, is not good for your overall respectability.
again, i just want to be respected so that people will listen to what i have to say and so that i can take part in good conversations about the mavs. if that means i can't post pad, then i won't (too much ). i have been told (unless i am interpreting incorrectly) that i should cut down on the post padding in the lounge.

51 posts per day is a pretty good acomplishment.
I'm only at 1 a day.

I've never looked at it that way. There are good posters who rarely post anywhere other than the Mavs or NBA section (kg_veteran and hoopsmeister come to mind) and I respect their opinion. But if they had 20K posts in the lounge, I would STILL respect their opinion in the Mavs and NBA section. Post padding is a silly term anyway - what bonus do you get for having a thousand or ten thousand posts. Guru sound nice but that doesn't mean that you know more than anyone else - it just means that you post your opinion more often. Now I will admit that that the more times you post, the greater the chance of saying something idiotic and "ruining" your reputation.
I look at the lounge as a place to goof off while I'm waiting on someone to post something of interest in the sports sections.

RE: Congrats to mandyahl
that's how i look at it, too, mffl. i am here a lot, and when not much is happening on the other parts of the board, i post here to pass time.
i am glad that you will respect people's opinions regardless of whether they post pad, but i am under the impression that others will not. maybe i am interpreting things that have been said to me completely incorrectly, but that is what i have gotten out of them.
again, i am just trying to earn respect on this forum, and i am not exactly sure how to go about it since there is already a hierarchy in place. your input is appreciated.

Mandy you will lose more respect for changing who you are.
Keep doing what you are doing and like MFF said.

I love you Mandy. (in a completely non-sexual, friend type love way). Please don't stop goofing off with us in the Lounge.
I will be sad.
