Default Kurt Thomas to Kings? Could be

Grant Napear (Kings broadcaster) during the first segment of his radio show today said there is some strong talk in Kingsville about Keon to the Knicks for Kurt Thomas. He said if the Kings could pull if off it would be a "flat-out steal." I wonder if they are referring to stealing KT away from the Mav's deal

Oh the horror....we wouldn't get the spare KT....I'm devastated.

Seriously....give Raef half of a season to see if he settles in like most players do historically after a major trade. Then bitch with malice and prejudice if he continues to spare us to death. Raef's ceiling is higher than KT's at this point.

I agree, give Raef until the trade deadline, then we'll see how bad he really is.

Yes i would also love to see what Raef brings to the court once season starts. BUt his comments last week pissed me off little bit. That means he is not tryign to be a center in any form. And he openly admitting it. That is not a good sign either. I think that is why CUban is now getting ready to ship for Kurt thomas.

So every team will never have a shadow of doubt about trading for him.

Yeah, but what if he does really bad, and his trade value goes down.

I'm not satisfied with the deal with Kurt Thomas, i would much rather Raef be part of a bigger trade. But if Raef's trade value goes down, then maybe they would only be able to trade him for players like Jeff Foster.

I'd do the deal, It's obvious that Raef was in Nellie's doghouse most of last year. And the Main reason for him being there, was because of his lack of motivation, lack of low post presence, lack of defense. A front court of SOFT players isn't gonna attract many free agents, why would anyone wanna play next to Raef Lafrentz or Shawn Bradley? Why would a player volunteeringly be put in a situation to be laughed at by other teams? Trade Lafrentz while he still has any trade value, while the Mavs still have a chance to get that contract off their books.
