Default Texas- is is a vacation spot.

Do you consider Texas top 10 places to visit ?

According to me, its nice to live in texas and feels good to be home but basically texas sucks. Where can you go? Maybe , el paso to get cheap beer. Maybe houston for catching or hoping to catch some crabs. Maybe corpus cristie which is duller than any place with a sea.

maybe san antonio which gets on my nerves.

Where do you go ?

I do have to agree that texas maybe a great state to live(tax free state) but florida is also an tax free state. The summer in texas sucks 120 heat index.

If you are originally from Texas its a great place to vacation. I live in Fla right now but tomorrow I'm hopping on a plane to visit the best state in the great US. Does anyone that lives in a different state agree with me that Texas by far is the greatest state? By the way Fla is OK to visit on vacation but do not ever move there.

I enjoy going to Colorado a lot. Las Vegas too. East coast beaches are ok. California can be a lot of fun. Love the Montana skies. But Texas has it all. Texas has everything that any other state can offer. I could never leave Texas and die happy.

colorado is extremely overrated... about the only good restaurants they have are restaurants from texas.. they have a few overgrown hills..it's much more expensive than texas..the women aren't as good looking. it's already in the 50's in the freaking morning.
basically, if I need a short sleeve shirt when I get in at night, I think that I should need a short sleeve shirt in the morning.. not in this God forsaken hell hole

and mavsfanforever, you think that the texas summers suck? you better watch yourself.

try going just about anywhere else in the country...have the women put on their bathing suits and then run for cover...ugly. Unless you want to go to California and get screwed up the butt because of the prices..and want to spend 50% of your day in traffic just so you can be around fake people...

florida..i can't think of a reason to go there..not for the life of me

San Antonio is cool if you're a nerd and a history buff (which I am) and mardi gras in galveston is a blast, and there's tons of interesting stuff to do in good ol' dfw but alot of us tend to overlook/ignore it because we live here.

So f'in wrong that it is almost unbelieveable! No REAL Texan should ever say that!

I vacation on South Padre Island at least once a summer, and I couldn't love it more. Awesome place when there aren't Spring Breakers there. Been there, done that too much for my old body.

Okay, well I'll save you the trip to NY: Lets see...We have lots of tall buildings, lots of people...
and a lousy basketball team...... That sums things up!

TX has some nice vacation spots, but I absolutely love to visit other spots (or even live elsewhere for a while ). I have a blast, but I appreciate Texas EVEN more when I come back.

If you want it all go to Texas.
It has canyons, mountains, hills, beautiful rivers, parks and a beach.

Texas is the only state where you can drive all day and night and still be in Texas.
