Who is your favorite Mav?
The player you like more.
Your favorite for the reason you want. I decided to open the poll because I have seen many custom icons with the pic of Dirk, a couple with Finley's, one with NVE -not listed-, and some with the team's logos. I think a big majority is fan of Dirk, but... ...let's see.

Who is your favorite Mav?
I like them all. When Lafrentz pounds the inside he is a sight to see like a few minutes of the last two post-seasons. Bradley is just funny especially when he gets tangled up with other players and shoves them off of him. He's still likeable. As a Mavs fan how could you not have adored NVE? I was a mavs fan first and a Phoenix fan second until Nash and Finley moved. Both of them are incredible; Nash is pure fun to watch and he has that court vision that just blows your mind. Finley is still an incredible athlete and the most incredible person you'll ever meet. Ill miss AJ. Nowitzki, Nowitzki, Nowitzki....how I love thee. Najera is inspirational. He's the small guy who just gets things done and brings adrenaline and muscle to the team. I think Abdul Wahad has a lot of potential and I personally like the guy. Jamison is going to be sweet in Dallas. He is a natural team player who has been trained by some fine coaches (especially in college) to be an even better team player. He's just a sweety too. Howard has a heart of gold and the determination and athleticism to match. I got to see him a could of times in his senior year and I was amazed.
- I guess the only people I dont love are some of the new cats. Best is handsome and smart but I dont know enough about him. Fortson has a huge upside but Im still unsure he will really be a good mav. Mills, Welsch, Daniels I hardly know ye. |

My prediction for the ballot:
Dirk: 15 votes Finley: 8 Nash: 6 Bradley, Jamison: 4 Najera, LaF: 3 Howard, Fortson: 2 The rest: 0-1 I'm a Mavs fan but I don't...: 5 Edit: I hadn't seen the results. It seems Dirk will have a lot more.

I think this is an unfair question because I like them all. I voted for Najera for posterity and the fact that when he comes off the bench the energy he brings makes it even funner to watch. The annoyance factor that Najera brings to other teams is totally exciting. For me, at least.
But I love the core four and the "soft" white Centers. Our bench is now full of alot of people that the jury is still out on, with a few exceptions. But since they are Mavericks, I like them.

I voted for Finley because quite frankly he is Mister Maverick to me right now. But realistically Dirk is probably my favorite Maverick.

I liked dirk from day one. Nice mechanics. Improves every year.
I liked fortson when he played for Cinci. I liked his comments in the press conf. I hope he does great. He will be number 2 in my book.

After 55 votes -I don't expect many more- Dirk is owning this poll easily, with 31 votes, 56%.
The voted so far: Dirk 31 Finley 8 Nash 7 Najera 3 Bradley, Jamison 2 I'm a Mavs fan...2 I suppose NVE's votes went to Dirk, but I think there are more votes out there for Bradley, LaF and Najera (raefformvp, sweets). Dirk should buy the team when gets retired.

Dirk Nowitzki because he is the most talented player on the team. Im from North Carolina so I could be biased, but I also love Josh Howard. He is so far beyond college players Im sure he will be great in the NBA.

Here's why I voted for Nash. Nash is the player with the least athletic ability. I mean in terms of jumping ability and height. He can't jump as high as Fin nor is he as tall as Dirk. So the question is, why is Nash good. Well, hard work and heart. The guy works incredibly hard. He wasn't given an advantage physically but he makes do with what he has which is speed and court vision. This doesn't mean that the other players don't work hard. They do. They just have more physical gifts than Nash. My favorite Mav is Nash because he works hard and has become very good becuase of his own hard work.
