Looking back in retrospect, perhaps I should've selected a less than spicy nickname. I did not come here to steal your husbands, wives or girlfriends. Some of the male posters here, single and not, have been nice to me. However some ladies here could be a little more friendly.

"Caliente" is "hot" in formal English and formal Spanish.

"Hot" is, let's say "good looking" or "sexually attractive" in English slang.

"Caliente" is not "sexually attractive" neither in formal Spanish nor in Spanish slang.

I can't say more.

Edit: I meant in Mexican Spanish. I don't know for Spanish in other countries.

My understanding of the usage of 'caliente' is that it refers more to immediate, short-term...shall we say ...disposition and inclination to indulge in.....shall we say....'carnal pleasures'-something along the lines of 'cachonda' in Castellano. Lista, puesta, y dispuesta.
