Default With the recent developments with Mutumbo, do you think?

The Spurs and Kings are regretting they spent all that money for their center acquisitions?

Not all, if his development was going so well, why was he dropped when the Nets only have Collins

Because he was being paid too much. I have to agree that with what the Nets were paying him, he was grossly overpaid. But bring him for less than 4 mil. That's another story.

Well maybe Sacramento might, Vlade is gonna be starting this season and the money they paid Miller is somewhat a lot for a 7th man (meaning that Jackson is the 6th).

I say sign him!!! So what he cant get down the floor. I would not mind running a four on five break if my five where Nash, Fin, Dirk & Twan. I do not think he would get much pt until the playoffs & hell, I would not mind him taking Stefansons' spot on the roster.

You're not an NBA player though MFFL. You're like wine, you get better with age...

Well I don't think the Nets would have played anymore if he was being payed 4 mil. I'm perfectly fine with Fortson, and LaFrentz.

Are you sure? Whether Mutomobo's reported age = his real age has often been questioned. Just how old is Mutumbo?

I would like the Mavs to bring him in. I think he showed in the finals that he can still be effective defensively against top power players in spot duty. For everyone that wanted Zo, I don't see how this is much different. He wouldn't have to run the floor, stays under the basket, is an intimidator on defense, and we don't know how much he can play. Go for it Mav's!

Im in favor he can play a handful of regular season games and at times dominate defensively. Remember last years block of Tim Duncan's dunk attempt.

I also remember when Malik Rose threw it right down over him.

Because 'Zo is thrice the player Mutumbo ever was. Mutumbo was a decent defensive center, but his offense sucked. Not a real probelm for Dallas, but comparing him to 'Zo...just plain silly...

My point is for the right price he can be good as a spot player. He still shows flashes. When have you ever seen Raef or Bradley make Duncan look baffled answer is never. The guy still has something and for 1 million he is well worth the risk mr. argumentative.

Sorry Jay, I'm not trying to be argumentative. And you're right, for vet min, it's not exactly a risky venture. However, I think some teams out there (like the Sixers) might be willing to pay more than that though.

Curious, though...if he had anything left, why would NJ waive him when it cost them 30 Mil?

Mutombo will not sit on the bench, and where are the minutes in Dallas? "After being benched in the playoffs, Mutombo complained, which irritated Byron Scott. " is the quote from the New York Daily News.

Well we all know from experience that Nellie would never bench a center for an extended amount of time.
