Unbelievable...
So I have been sick now for over 8 weeks. I have been on 6 different antibiotics for a sinus infection that just won't go away. The crazy thing is that I have had 2 sinus surgeries so I shouldn't be having these problems. I have been seeing an allergist who wants to test me for allergies but can't until I am well. So, I went today to a different ENT (than the one who did my surgeries) for a second opinion as far as my sinuses go. You know what his suggestion for me was? Get a new job. He says that my job is an occupational hazard since I am in close confined quarters with snotty teenagers all day. While this is true, I never expected to be told that I needed a career change from my doctor. Someone just needs to take me out back and shoot me. Unbelievable.

RE:Unbelievable...
Really sorry to hear that, I hope you get well... Have you tried any alternative methods, such as herbal remedies or anything 'different' other than antibiotics and pills to try and help your condition?

RE:Unbelievable...
Raefformvp- PM me if you want advise..I am an expert in this field...two sinus surgeries myself and still had problems after that.. Allergies were the reason for all my problems- I seem to have the problem under control now...Maybe I can make some suggestions....just a thought...

I have thought of that alternative, but I'd still be out a job!

I have been dealing with this for years now and I've tried everything I can. I even have irrigated my sinuses with a water pick every day which has got to be one of the most unpleasant things I've ever done. I'm really hoping they find something I'm highly allergic to so that I can try the allergy shots.

Yep, that's basically what the doctor said unless tests prove allergies are the main cause of my problem. He also suggested that I move to another state with cleaner air. I do love my work, and I was shocked to hear a doctor suggest that I change my profession.

I was thinking the same thing. When the MDs said they couldn't help me, I went to someone who specialized in herbal rememdies. That's what I turn to first now - for everything.

How would I go about finding someone who specializes in herbal remedies?

RE: Unbelievable...
I feel your pain. I had a similar experience with carpal tunnel syndrome and tendonitis in my shoulders. One doctor told me, without so much as blinking, to put down my instruments altogether if I ever wanted to heal.
