What does that tell me? the mavs can't play defense at the 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 spot on a consistent basis.

RE:Opponents with Season Highs against MAVS
I'm not calling for firings and massive trades, but it has been obvious that our defense has been sub-par. More than the opp fg% is the number of FTs we give out. Both of those point to crappy and disorganized defense. If we are helping on the weak side we are hesitating too long before doing so.

I would be interested in taking another team say the kings, minny and doing the same.

RE: Opponents with Season Highs against MAVS
the rebounds don't bother me at all. the mavs have been a good rebounding team this season.
you could argue that the mavs have let alot of spares to go off because they haven't allowed the big named players to beat them. however, i don't know that that is necessarily true

RE:Opponents with Season Highs against MAVS
I just don't know if other teams don't get this type of thing happening as well. For all I know someone (probably ) has a season high every night in the first 20 games. ;^)
I've been pretty pleased with the job howard has done on kobe, carter, pierce. Garnett is REALLY good and the wolves seem to think of the mavs as the team they have to beat first to get to the next level. Probalby some football rivalry stuff going on as well, I don't know why but minny-dallas have always been sort of rivals.

RE: Opponents with Season Highs against MAVS
sure, it'll change quite a bit as the season goes along dude....but, it seemed to happen repeatedly last year where one player or another was torching the mavs

At least we are consistent Have we really regressed as a team defensively this year compared to last? We could be even worse now had we not traded Raef's injured self. But someone always kills us, usually a scrub too. I attribute much of this due to the willingness of those scrubs to drive to the basket a lot.... no shawn, no threat, who's gonna block your shot, dirk? As for the boards..... I guess we just can't box out period. Put those two together and it pretty much means no defense when an opponent gets to the lane, he's bound to score unimpeded.

You want to succeed? Play first a season in Dallas and your future will be brilliant. Be sure to be traded before the next season.

Zone defense always allow one person to really stand out in a game, whether it be a point guard or a center. Man to Man is our friend.
