Sad Image
It took 19 games and the preseason to the Spurs to be placed where they belong. Including games without Duncan and Parker.
The Mavs not only haven't improved but have worsened in 28.
Please, don't blame Walker or Dirk. It's obvious where the problem is. The French didn't lose in Waterloo, Napoleon did.
I haven't seen SA's payroll for this season but I bet it is way smaller than Dallas'.
Btw, have I mentioned earlier that Cubs should sign Popovich even before Shaq if they both were available? It's a sarcastic comment, but it reflexs the point that somebody is spoiling huge resources without a proper result, without forgetting that Time is one of the expensivest resources.
Popovich is far from being the second All Time best NBA winning coach, but he has his team in the top of the toughest division in only 28 games. And he doesn't need the big money to do it.
Was he lucky getting Duncan without any effort?
Then, we need a lucky coach also. Not only a good coach, but lucky and efficient in the administration of the resources, this time including the already wonderful crowd that every game night makes a sold out of the AAC, plus the money, the time, and the talent.

RE: Sad Image
I don´t know if you realize how many games the current squad has played together.

RE: Sad Image
I put them. 28 plus one of the preseason.
The Spurs started to win at 18, plus the preseason.
Edit: Yes, SA made fewer changes, but they were also important, althoug, alike the Mavs, the core remained intact. No, wait, they lost Robinson and we lost NVE. I think they lost more.

RE: Sad Image
Doesn't look as bad as you're claiming it to be, chiwas, the spurs are ahead, true, but they have just as many losses as us. We go on a 3 game winning streak and we're right up there with them.

RE: Sad Image
Subtract the Games with Dirk, Fin or Nash missing ...
And please tell me how we can have 28 games of playing together when we´re only 25 games into the season.

RE:Sad Image
Dirk has missed 5 games (6 if you disregard the game where he played 7 minutes)
Nash has missed 1 game (2 if you disregard the game where he played 7 minutes)
Finley has missed 4 games
None of these games overlapped so the Mavs have had last year's big 3 miss 12 games playing together. We have played 25 games. Almost half of the games we have had a big gun missing.
How can we get cohesion?

Three points taken.
But I'm still upset seeing Dallas that low in the table.

It's not often that the 7th best team in the division is 4 points over .500

@clippers- regular season- healthy- loss
And you have to question this one since Dirk had just gotten back from an injury and Finley got hurt during the game and tried to play through it.

isnt that premature? Maybe we are on a time-delay here but the game isnt over. We're also officially missing Finley and Bradley

It's your fault we lost Sike... you didn't make an over/under.
