mavs vs. grizzlie game day
7 days of non-mavs, some people became occupied for wrong reasons, and others are becoming bored...
not any more! mavs are back in full throttle!
now, for the game:
position by position, mavs are better than grizzlie, including the 5, if the 3 headed center put up reasonably good efforts.
only differences being grizzlie's agressiveness, and tough attitude.
this is a game that mavs' d has to belong to the "we need to" category. let's just see if mavs can "turn it on".
and i promise to keep my mouth shut about mavs' "turning the switch on" for the rest of the regular season, if mavs can win the rest of the games in february.

RE:mavs vs. grizzlie game day
This is a dangerous game after a seven day layoff, but I think our Mavs will prevail.
Dirk and Nash will shiningly make up for All-Star slights, and help blow out these stupid grizzlies 112-101. (Employee #8 will also shine while posting 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists).

This game seems almost impossible to call. But after seven days of being mavless, I refuse to predict a loss.

I hate playing a team like Memphis after a layoff.

RE:mavs vs. grizzlie game day
This is a real dangerous game for the Mavs. If we just settle for jump shots, we'll likely lose this one. If we mix it up and take it inside and drive a good bit, we'll stand a much better shot. Odds are that our shooting won't be real sharp after the layoff. I also hope we see lots of the 3-headed center.

RE: mavs vs. grizzlie game day
Mavs will have to come out with energy and not fall behind early in the game.
I say we win by a dozen, but not sure who comes out leads the way.

RE:mavs vs. grizzlie game day
This is a very tough open after the all star break...it will depend on the D and whether the refs let us play as tough as the Grizz(last time it was very one-sided). Eddie Najera will supposedly be back tonight...if he has the energy and is not alone we win pretty easily. If we let them score at will and have extreme confidence it will be a hard task to keep them at bay in the 4th.
Here's hoping we show enough determination to shut them down.

Puba
The reason we give the Grizz credit is:
1)They beat us already in their building
2)They are 30-22 just 3 games behind us
3)They are 19-7 at home
Puba, these aren't your fathers Grizzlies.

RE:mavs vs. grizzlie game day
We are healthy and we are getting Najera and Delk back soon which means we will have 15 healthy bodies on our roster (if you count TAW. He's healthy but not playing...). We sure as heck better snuff out their hope quickly, but if it means another injury I would rather see the Mavs play defense like the rookie squad in the Rookie Challenge.

16-21 2 minutes left of the first quarter.
As usual, we start losing.
But I don't think we lose this game.

The Mavs have not lost a game when Eddie returns form an injury. (I created the statistic but I think I'm close ).

I'm personally hoping that Walker doesn't shoot the rest of the second half of the season.

Ortegal's wrong. Walker made a bank shot in the lane early in the 1st.

It's never a good thing whenever Walker, Najera, and Fortson have combined to take 13 shots in the first 16 minutes of the game.

OP, I'd think you'd know better than to ask that question. Of course you take MFF's word any day over the word of Ortegal.
