No hoopla. Here it is. The Mavs take care of business 109-101 over the SadSacKings and Sad Chris Webber.

On ther road again. Just cant stand for the mavs to be on the road again.

I will go against every logical brain cell I have that is screaming, "Don't you remeber the other 20 times you picked the Mavs to win on the road this year?" Why would you pick the Mavs to win on the road? Why? It doesnt' make any sense.

It would really make sense to pretend that the team I root for is not playing the Kings. It makes sense to pretend that I'm rooting for the Orlando Magic playing against the Kings at home. Because that's how the Mavs have played this year on the road. Now what would I predict? Huh? Huh?

Well, I'll tell ya. I'm picking the Mavs to win game 1 for one reason and one reason only. BECAUSE I AM A BIG FAT HOMER!

So with all that said.

Mavs 117
Kings 101

Oh yeah. And for the real reason I think the Mavs are sitting pretty. NO BOBBY JACKSON. Back court advantage now goes to the Mavs. We wont see Bobby and Bibby together late in the game killing the Mavs back court and penetrating the lane without abandon. Actually, I look for the Mavs backcourt to dominate this series much like the NVE/Nash backcourt of last year. Which is what I believe won the series for us last year.

Walker and Marquis are the Keys to this series....

If Marquis can continue to shoot lights out and Walker continue to play UNDER CONTROL, then this series is ours.

Mavs 122-110. Kings try to outscore us, but before they realize they're down 30 and decide to play scrubs. Dallas puts their scrubs on the floor and they don't fare very well against the Kings' scrubs, so it ends up being only a 12-point game at the end.

Sac tries to play half court, Mavs get up by 10 and they panic by trying to out run-and gun. We take over by 15+ before the half. Third period they will make it a close game before Dirk takes over in the fourth. We win in the end.

Mavs 118
Kings 106

I GOT TICKETS! I am ashamed to say that getting kings tickets is harder to get than mavs tickets. The 4 man mavs fans cheering section will thrust the mavs into the victory column. I am not sure on what side we are gonna sit, but listen for the lone whoos after every mavs bucket. I hope I make the Mavs fans around the world proud.

When the Mavs win their home games, they have to take one of the games 1,2 or 5 at Arco Arena to avoid a decisive game 7. The Kings confidence is probably not that royal these days and the mavs should take advantage of that as soon as possible. Knowing the special importance of this series first game the Mavs will be aggressive from the very start riding on a sharp shooting dirk to a 114 - 103 win.

Kings show everyone that the Vegas odds' makers aren't crazy by putting them as 3 to 1 to win the NBA Title with a win, 118-104.

Seriously, though, the Vegas odds' makers have to be at least a little crazy to set those odds...

Sactown will lead until midway through the third quarter. At this point we will see Dirk shooting the lights out at Arco Arena.

lets say 108 Mavs
101 Kings

Hmm... let's see here. If Finley can shoot well tonight, I am predicting a win. Bobby Jackson won't be joining us tonight, so that relieves some pressure. Marquis... this is your time... LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!

And uh, I think Game 3 (our first home game) is on my birthday, I'm so excited. Why, there is no real reason for me to be excited, it's not like I'm going to fly across the Atlantic to see an NBA game, right? Right.

The Mavs will win this one early on...they will come out strong and the fans at Arco will have nothing to cheer for thus easing the Mavs road woes. I will refrain from predicting Tuesday's game so I don't jinx this team.

Mavs will F Sacto to get the 1-0 lead...

Dirk usually is a monster in the playoffs,..last year he had 46 pts in game 1 against Portland to kick off the Mavs' playoff run...
I predict 30+ from him today and a nail-biter win...

3 hrs, 30 minutes and counting... (unless I've got the time difference wrong again)...

Well, the Big three will be vital, I don't think anyone doubts that, but as good as they are, I don't think they'll be able to put the Kings away on their own, especially if the Kings can keep up. Therefore, we need Marquis' solid shoting tonight, and Walker's easy baskets and hussle... this will be a true team effort.

C'mon Mavs, UP AND OVER!

EDIT: And let's not forget about the Sixth Man of the year...

And we have big possibilities if Nash decides to play well. That's the main key.

Mavs win by 4 in a ridiculously intense finish down the stretch.

In the FWST, Nelson said he'll play an 8 man rotation with subbing the centers "once and a while."
