Do any of you know what Chris Webber said postgame that made Randy so angry on Galloway and Co. this afternoon? He was calling for someone to take out CWebb's knee, so it must have been pretty bad...

RE:webber comments
Galloway is 80% shock value nowadays. This is the most inflamatory thing I could find in the Sac Bee
Quote:
Game 2 of this year's Western Conference first-round series is tonight, and Webber said he fully intends to play start to finish - and to go "air" again.
Air as in dunking and slapping the backboard, like in Game 1, when he missed a shot on purpose just to follow-flush for emphasis when the game was a rout, "like we did in high school."

I don't know about the post game interview...I haven't heard anybody else mention it.

RE:webber comments
Chris Webber decided to run his mouth in Sacramento, hyping up his backboard-slapping dunk, noting that that is what he used to do back in high school when a game "turned into a rout". Smug little punk. Just a couple weeks ago, the entire capital of California hated you for messing up their precious team's chemistry. Now you have 1 decent game and you decide to spit junk, thinking all is well again. Randy says Webber's comments should be Mavericks bulletin board material. He is also plotting to have Najera take out Webber's gimpy knee. But Tyra Banks is pretty hot, so we'll give Webber that one.

Here's Webber, "Going Ambulatory" last year...
If Webber wants to showboat in game 2, he deserves to get knocked on his ass in tonight's game. I wouldn't mind seeing Fortson get some minutes for precisely that reason (Come to think of it, even without any dirty play, I think Big Dan could terrorize Webber, by murderously blocking him out on the boards and taking away his jump-hook with his superior strength and footspeed. Playing Fortson for some prudent minutes really could do a lot to take away the easy post-up game that allowed Webber to look decent on Sunday, and might actually upset Webber and help make him lose his composure.)

Well you know what they say... Pride comes before a fall. But then again, Minnesota didn't fall after Garnett's riciculous comment after the Minny blowout. Oh well, I hope he knows what's coming to him when he comes to Dallas.

Actually they lost 5 of thier next seven after that game. To thier credit they recovered in time to hold off SA.

RE: webber comments
I'm against any attempts to hurt him, but if fortson can frustrate him and make him "lose his composure," I'm all for playing him. Mind games are fair game

RE: webber comments
No deliberate attempts to cause injury, please, but a little embarrasment would be just fine with me.

RE:webber comments
Oh I completely understand that Galloway is a crazy old man, I was just wondering what Webber said because he sounded pretty miffed. I don't agree with wishing hurt on players either (other than Malone......), but it would be nice to see a Game-2-2003-semis-like whipping tonight.

I would love to see fortson plant him on his butt. Or shawn for that matter. Or better yet... A hammer by dirk.

RE: webber comments
Might as well try a dirty play (was that was Scott Williams is in for?). That's obviously the only thing they can do to stop him from embarassing them down in the paint.

RE: webber comments
I'm pretty sure a little dose of the Mantis would go a long way towards cutting off the Kings inside scoring.

The next time Fortson does anything to keep Webber from scoring down low at will is going to be the first time he's ever done something to stop Webber from scoring down low at will. If you look back at Fortson's time with the Warriors, Webber destroyed him everytime Fortson actually played. He's too short to bother Webber's jump hook and he doesn't play good enough positional defense to keep Webber away from the spots he wants.
